Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyNothing to complain for the price.
A budget-friendly hotel which is great for short trips or weekend getaways. They provide basic amenities (toiletries, kettle, etc). The neighborhood is quiet since the hotel location is around 20 minutes away via tram from the city center (Little Tokyo and main train station).

NetherlandsThe beds were hard, there was no trash bag in the bin, and you could literally hear everything going on in the neighboring rooms.
Breakfast was not special, but good enough, the location was fine (a 7 minute walk to several forms of public transport) and the staff was nice.

United KingdomThey hall ways and bedrooms were a bit dated and the window in my room didn't close fully but I didn't mention it because I sleep with the window open slightly anyway and when the curtains were closed I couldn't feel a draft.
Location was great for meeting our German colleagues, it was good to be able to have the option to pay for breakfast if we required it however if I had not have told the young lady on reception I wonder how you know if a guest had breakfast at all because if I hadn't mentioned we had not pre-paid there was no way the staff would have know. The staff were excellent and extremely honest as my bar bill was just shy of £40 so I passed what I thought was 2 £20 notes however there were 3 bill 2 were stuck together as they were new, the staff member was on nights and a mature person I was so grateful for his honesty. Nice clean bedding, towels and good quality shower and hand soap, would have been nice to have conditioner as well, good nights sleep.

TurkeyThe rooms were not cleaned every day and our mugs/water glasses were kept dirty during our stay (5 nights). I had to put them in the bathroom under the sink. We were leaving early in the morning and arriving late so I didn't even have the energy to discuss this with the reception. Wifi did not work for my Android phone in the lobby. Small lobby and breakfast area. Public transport was always full during rush hours. We even could not step onto the bus and had to call a taxi and wait longer.
The staff was helpful. Luggage storage option. Breakfast with many options and good breads. Good location for Messe, there is a bus stop just at the front door. 10-minute walk for U-bahn. Good restaurants within walking distance.

GermanyThe sound isolation is bad. The door has a big 1cm gap. One can hear everything happens in the corridor. Past midnight I woke up because I thought someone was opening my door. It was actually the room next door.
Friendly staff, room large enough, bed comfortable, everything clean, good location for my trip.

United KingdomPrice for this visit was well over double a standard weeks rate. Hotel raises prices drastically when exhibitions / concerts are on. Beds could do with softer mattresses.
Air conditioned room, breakfast selection was good, staff very friendly. location was fairly good, however closer to hospital meaning you could hear a lot of ambulances.

BelgiumA little far from the centre but it wasn't that bad. The emergency exit sign in the room was so bright we had to cover it up at night.

TurkeyThe phone in the room was not working. I could not call the reception. I told the reception, they gave me funny answers such as the plug was out. There were no sleppers in the room. I asked for it in the morning, but it was not left. Then I asked again and finally they brought it. We stayed for 3 nights. On the 2nd day, they found dirty glasses and cups in the room. They did not change it. I had to tell the reception again. They also charged a city tax of 6 Euros per person per day, which was not specified during the reservation.
The size of the room and bathroom was fine.It was even bigger than most europen hotels.

BulgariaThis was the worst experience. I am visiting Dusseldorf every year in January for work and I regretted that I booked this hotel. The room is very small and uncomfortable. The metro station is 10-15 min walking distance, which in the winter is a lot. They are providing water in the room only for the first night, for all the rest this is 6 eur. And the price I paid, you can compare to 5 stars hotel. Very expensive and nothing behind this price.
