Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWell it’s a hostel so obviously, one needs to be aware of it, I just wish the people visiting were a bit more respecting of the others and not shouting in the corridors. Again, breakfast was ok but I would add some eggs or more tea sorts to choose from.
Breakfast was fine. I had something else in a hotel for the same price of the hostel stay but my room with the view and actually overall cleanliness and friendly staff balanced the ok breakfast.

IsraelI was in two room, the first one, the cheapest option, was very big, and was suppose to house almost 10 people, and that really could get uncomfortable considering one bathroom and one shower room; ,but luckily we weren't too many tenants, and they were really sweet and respectful, so it was still a comfortable stay. I was moved to another room, unfortunately without notice but because i didn't have internet and they couldn't connect me, and the move was because of a huge school that came to stay there. So i was moved on my last night, it was a bit of a hustle, but i got a room for myself alone, i was given a small refund for the hustle, and the evening stuff was very patient with me while i forgot a few things or needed help at something.
The place was near a metro station, and it was located in a quite central place, so there were a lot of bars and restaurants around the place. The breakfast was minimal and yet quite full, it was very nice to start the day with a small sandwich, tea and yoghurt. The stuff were kind and respectful and helped with everything, and had a 24/7 service which was comfortable. On top of that, although its not in the stuff's control, but the tenants that shared the room with me were very kind and interesting people, so the stay was very pleasant and nice.

SpainThe showers and toilettes are very dirty: The floor seems not to have been cleaned for ages. On the other hand, as I said, I paid an extra for a single bed and I was placed in a bunk bed.
The breakfast was good. The beds were good enough although I paid extra for a single one and I was placed in a berth. The location is good, so close to the underground.

United KingdomOn check in one of our rooms had been given to someone else and they wanted to move four children alone to another floor! Not acceptable so for one night had to put 8 people together. Not good as room booked a year ago. Also asked for a breakfast to go with us on last day as we were leaving early, person on desk said no problem. Last night I checked the time we would require it and the new person knew nothing about it. Then saying we would have to pay for this. 30 people! We already had paid for breakfast with our room. As it happens they opened the kitchen early for us so was sorted but caused unnecessary stress thinking how I was going to feed 30 children. The rooms are very basic. Bedding has some old stains but clean. Towels given are only hand towels. Breakfast good but would be good if some hot options like sausage and egg. Noisy from road.
Value for money. Location.

GermanyRoom too hot. Windows without blackout curtains, so in the morning at 4 O' clock the light came into my room. Window in front of main street: smog and noise. Bathroom without fan and without towel rack. Only one small towel (like 60x100) for hands and body; so, no shower towel. Price quite height for the offer.
Very central in Meringhdamm. Next to the U-Bahn. Breakfast included.

DenmarkThe place is a little outdated and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. When you took a shower there was water everywhere on the bathroom floor, quite annoying.
The breakfast was fine, nothing too special. I probably wouldn’t buy the breakfast another time. The location of the hostel was very good, it was right next to the metro and a kiosk. The rooms was very spacious and clean enough.

United States of AmericaThe place was a dump. Old everything, toilet seats broken, ripped common area seating, the place was always dark with no lighting, the guests there just like one of the reviewers put it “like a prison unsafe environment” and perhaps mold ran in the pipes. Everyone was coughing and not well at the place. People were rude and it’s like a Turkish refugee hotel or something housing a lot of Turkish people. The beds and sheets were clean but the bed was so cheap that your body sinks in. There were more than a few arguments in the short 8 days I was there. Not a place you want to stay to enjoy Berlin. The place is literally a dump.
The location was very convenient to a metro stop. There’s lots of restaurants around and grocery store not too far away. The beautiful young Turkish souls were very lovely people. The free breakfast was nice but the older staff are really unfriendly. They look at the guests with so much contempt.
