Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Belgium24/7 check-in was handy since it was a stopping place on a longer road. We didn’t take the breakfast as we wanted to sleep little longer, but there was a nice bakery just around the block with tables in and out. Pretty view from the windows. Room was nice and clean, nice alternative for big brand hotels!

United KingdomThere were a couple of downsides: a noticeable smell in the room and uncomfortable pillows. Overall, it’s a great hotel with room for improvement, and I would recommend it!
I enjoyed my one-night stay at this hotel. The friendly staff provided excellent service, and the place was clean and with a stylish design. The view of the church was stunning, and the location was perfect, surrounded by restaurants and shops.

GermanyUnstable internet. No refrigerator in my single room, but they kindly stored my food in their restaurant refrigerator. The listing said there would be slippers in the room. No slippers. If you are a large person, you might find the shower problematically tight. Soft cuddly extra blanket was nice for the cold March nights. I'm pretty flexible about mattress/pillow comfort, but this in the single room was one I was happy to depart. The hotel fee for my dog was 15 euros, so contactless key drop for an early departure was not an option because the fee was not prepaid through Booking.com (and I needed to wait for the friendly manager to arrive so I could get my food from the restaurant refrigerator).
When I stayed in March, there was no breakfast available, but 2 excellent bakeries are a few steps away with sit-inside tables. I selected this hotel because it is directly opposite the Benedictine Cloister, and the purpose of my visit was to visit the famous library there. Perfect choice for this purpose. (Library tours happen daily at 10:00 and 15:00. Walk through the big portal into the cloister courtyard, look for the arched door on the right, and ring the bell after 09:00 to get your tickets.) I figured this out by walking around early. The cloister functions as a school, with its own modern library (nice!) and many artworks displayed in the corridors, which gives you an opportunity to browse books and stroll the "gallery," or admire the baroque music hall and baroque church while waiting for your library tour start time. Fr. Martin was our cloister library tour leader. His knowledge of history and symbolism and his passion for his work were as much of a highlight as the library itself!

United KingdomThere was no air conditioning in the room. The mobile air purifier machine wasn’t really coping with the heat, we got there and the room was absolutely baking. The room was on a sun facing side of the building and even at night (after +33C during the day) the walls and the floor were not cooling down. We travel with our small dog and a cat and it was very scary to see them distressed by the heat. I had to give the dog cold showers several times during the night as he couldn’t cool down, and keep wet towels on the floor for them. Needless to say we didn’t sleep well or much at all. We’re definitely not staying here again unless there is proper air conditioning. The kitchen was in renovation so there was no breakfast option unfortunately.
Very nice quite spacious clean room. Bathroom was also nice clean. One of the shower doors was a bit wobbly though. The dinner at the restaurant was very nice and the staff were very friendly.

BelgiumNobody received us, so we could not ask questions about breakfast. After restaurant dinner, we were informed they were not serving breakfast the next day but that there was a bakery close by.
Location, as we were looking for a hotel close to highway. They have a nice restaurant some days of the week, so that was a plus for our one night stay on our way home. Bed was confortable, shower was a bit small but good. All was clean.

United KingdomWe were asked to pay extra to put our bikes in the garage overnight. Instead we locked them to a bike rack in the open where they were fine but damp. The restaurant downstairs was closed (for the winter?) Bedside lights not good for reading in bed. No kettle in the room
Big well-furnished room - proper desk and a table View of the monastery Quirky decor - downstairs it was dark and mysterious, upstairs and in the room it was bright with tropical touches Flamingo Very convenient for DonauRadWeg just now as there is a temporary (?) diversion through Metten Good local bakeries nearby

AustriaThe owner said a 24/7 reception was available for my late arrival. I was alone in the hotel, spending 30 at 01:00 after midnight and a 5h drive, trying to get a room, no reception (in the end, I found a keycard with my name in small print left behind). My room, it was written, was no.9 on the 2nd floor. On the second floor (a sign said so) there was no room 9. It was floor 3, which was completely dark. In the morning, after the cleaning lady came into my room without knocking, I wanted to check out. The “24/7 reception” was also deserted. I have had easier escape room challenges.
