Parking!! There was a very small car park at the side of the hotel which was always full, but there were additional parking facilities up the hill alongside the hotel, quite a walk up when you have to carry or drag suitcases to your car. Not ideal if you were disabled.

Beautiful spacious room with a balcony.

The lack of refill of items on the breakfast buffet. Apparently the policy is only available until it has run out. I.e do not sleep in if you expect to have a full breakfast buffet

We were there on the weekend and the rooms are not noise proof. The noise from the bar/restaurant went on and on late at night (band playing, loud noise). That was hard.

Breakfast was fabulous. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

the so called “4 bed room” room, has only 3 beds (one of which is a single sofa bed, very low to the floor). there are dangerous corkscrew stairs. the one double bed requires using these stairs in order to use the bathroom, toilet, entry etc. very dangerous! staff is not open to suggestions, remarks or complaints. overall too expensive.

The hotel is about due for an upgrade. Everything was okay but carpeting and the like is showing wear.

Location was convenient to the train and water. Staff friendly and breakfast had decent options. Many rooms, larger hotel then I thought. Room size was very large.

We had a family room, but the sofa bed was a bit too small for 2 children. The wifi was weak, but available when we could not get internet anywhere outside. The church bells are very loud every 15 minutes, but luckily only between 7:00-22:00. Can hear some train noise, but it didn't stop my sleep.

Beautiful historic building in center of town, surrounding by vineyards. Convenient restaurant with terrace. Nice breakfast room. Spacious room for family with balcony. Friendly staff and convenient for catching boat tour from Assmannshausen.

The cargo trains run overnight and the hotel is close to the railway so it was a bit noisy at times but the positives far outweighed this.

Great location for walking. Right next to chairlift. Quieter and nicer than central Rudesheim which was overrun with tour buses when we visited. It is a three minute train ride from there. Lovely family room. Very helpful receptionist. Great evening meals. Would highly recommend.

We had 2 rooms next to another (12 &14) but one (14) was considerably nicer in furnishing and also larger. They cost the same amount but it pointed up that one was a bit "tired".

Breakfast was great! Restaurant was excellent, food as well as servers. The desk staff was willing and able to answer all our questions about local sites, routes, and the time it took to travel places. There was a small sitting area as well as a bedroom. Parking was available right next to the hotel.

The location was just gorgeous; very clean, nice helpful staff like always in Germany; they were kind enough and wait for us for the check-un as we arrived later than planned (we did call them before). The hotel also has a very good restaurant. The Wi-Fi was very good and available everywhere - even in the street around :)

This hotel is not worth the price. We asked for quiet rooms and surprise we could hear the music from the street until at least 1am ! Other room are certainly better located, but even if asked, we did not get one like this. We really expected a quiet room for such expensive price. Indeed you can find much less expensive hotels near the railroad, and you will for sure be less disturbed by trains than by music and the church. Because at 7am, the bell rang (then every 15minutes) !! At 8 am, we thought it would never stop ringing. Conclusion: if you want to sleep well, avoid this hotel !! In addition, the personal is not sympathetic. During the breakfast, while we were still eating, waitresses were already getting us rid of stuff. In addition one strew aggressively thing inside the table bin meaning she was not happy we did not already do so ! Beds and pillows are not comfortable and could be changed. Impossible to park near the hotel, you have to drive until the public parking. My advise: find another location for your stay !

We realised that you can get there much more easily than instructed: from Rüdesheim take the B42 along the Rhine bank (towards Bonn). After Ehrenfels castle – high above – Assmannshausen is the first well signposted turning, and it’s a short distance from here.

It's beautiful! Gorgeous hotel! 4min walk to the river with lots of restaurants. 3min walk to the train station. The area is perfect for anyone that wants to get in touch with nature! there is a cable car service 2mins from the hotel that takes you into town! amazing views!
