Nice and modern rooms. Window to the bathroom was a novel touch. great Breakfast. Friendly and helpful reception staff. 5 min walk from the Schanzen Viertel with great restaurants.

I need gluten free bread. We payed for bed and breakfast (which is not cheap) and the person in charge of the restaurant put me problems or limitations every day when I asked for my bread. They didn't want to give me "too many bread buns", or brought me 2 when I asked for 3, or brought me no muffin, only after repeated requests. It's embarrassing that such a fancy and expensive place is greedy concerning a couple of bread buns, specially taking into account that all the other clients could take as much as they wanted.

Parking is difficult at the location. Hotel garage was full.

Breakfast was excellent and plenty of different food, from fish to sweat.

Our double bed had three (?) pillows, could have done with one more. Had a welcome gift in our room which was meant for another customer. At checkout I was asked to pay tourist tax, which I had done at check in. Just little things but it seemed a bit disorganised. Staff expect customers to use the app for everything but I would prefer a more personal touch.

Legendary place in amazing location, very stylishly renovated old water tower. A deserved preferred stay when ever in Hamburg.

Very unusual but nice atmosphere, careful personal, clean and beautiful. I highly appreciate that this hotel allows stay with a cat since most Hamburg hotels do not allow.

Small note but I'm not a huge fan of the type of soap used... smelled quite like "plastic". Aside from this, zero complaints.

This was a VERY unique location. I have stayed in Hamburg before and chose this due to its proximity to the surrounding restaurants. It was very clean and comfortable!

Unfortunately we find the interior a bit out dated. We were there in 2012 en loved it but now it could use a touch of paint and new carpeting etc.

The reception staff was not very responsive upon my arrival, despite only one other customer being served. Noone seemed to feel responsible for me among the people in the background and 2 out of 3 reception ccounters were empty (18h pm). Furthermore, I found the breakfast cue annoying. Instead of different stations with food, the main presentation is along a long buffeet in which one has to cue youth-hostel style.. And the Brötchen were pretty dry. For the image of the hotel I had expected a more imaginative breakfast.

I liked the re-build and re-use of this old building very much, cool round shape, nice and modern hotel rooms with fancy glass walls between room and bathroom, nice views. Location in 'Schanze' is exceellent, the Cave ambient around the reception and Lobby area is great.

The room was too warm and didn't really get cooler from using the temperature regulating system. Opening the windows was not really an option in the evening as the street and park below was rather loud.

The hotel building itself - an old watertower - is impressive and very nicely furnished with a rather classy feel to it. The room was nice and clean with room enough for two visitors. The hotel was well connected as there is a subway station right nextdoors.

When arriving, I had blood on my bed. After complaining at the reception, they offered me a new room at a lower level. I would have expected to have, at least a same kind of room (or some reimbursement), considering that the view from the rooms is one of the greatest things at this hotel. On Saturday morning, we had to wake up to a fire alarm at 8am and evacuate the building, which was a false alarm. As a professional firefighter, I was not either impressed on how the staff handled the alarm. I was finally offered one drink on the house at the bar, but after paying almost 500€ for two nights, I would have expected some kind of reimbursement due to the quality and price of this hotel. Unfortunately, my experience didn't follow my expectations this time.

Nicely renovated hotel after being a gas building before. Breakfast was good and location handy with the public transport.
