It is my opinion that the hotel is still under a slight bit of construction. So improvements are on the way and construction definitely means Improvement.

I like the staff and their willingness to engage with guests in conversations that means alot when traveling alone.

Menimor Hotel in Munich maintains a nice, modern design and the room size is comfortable. However, it lacks some basic functionality—there’s no outlet near the bed, and charging your phone requires a USB cable. (Most phones are using type c cable nowadays) Breakfast is similar but smaller to what I had in Berlin, with some hot food options, which was a plus. The locker is quite small, not functional. Location is decent, not central but manageable. A highlight of my stay was the staff—after I mentioned a concern, they offered me a free cappuccino, which was a kind gesture. Special thanks to Eve from Uganda, who was exceptionally helpful and courteous throughout.

Overall ok but value/price not great (especially given the room disposition).

the room disposition was not ideal. We had a room for 6. You entered into a room with king-size for 2, to the left there was a smaller room for 4 and to the right there was a bathroom. So anytime somebody came in or went to the bathroom, they had to go through the room with the king-sized bed.

breakfasts were a good value for the price, staff was very friendly, nice looking hotel with visible investments.

I guess the downside is sharing a room with strangers, but for the price and location, its really not a bother if you're ok with that. Overall pretty nice

There is a lot of work being done on the property, it didn’t seem finished. The key card stopped working each day so you had to keep getting it reset. There’s just one USB socket per bed and the smallest shelf in the world!

    Convenient Location but Noisy Nights

    • Double Room for Single Use
    • Stayed 3 nights

It was quite noisy at night. Like many other accommodations, this property does not have air conditioning. The fan speed can be adjusted, but the room still felt stuffy. Opening the window helped with ventilation and comfort, but outside noise (trams, ambulances, people shouting late at night) was very disruptive to sleep. The sound insulation was also weak—you can clearly hear noise from the neighboring rooms and hallway. Perhaps due to the summer season, the reception staff seemed relatively young. While they could handle most tasks, their attitude felt a bit casual and unprofessional.

From other reviews it seems this building has been under renovation for some time. The exterior is not very noticeable, so it’s quite easy to miss when arriving for the first time—whether coming from Munich Central Station or the tram stop (Holzapfelstraße). That said, the location is very convenient. The common area is not large but still bright enough. I did not try breakfast or dinner, so I cannot comment on the food.

Firstly it was difficult to find due to building works and there were no signs outside to direct. The lack of air con in the shared bedrooms made it pretty impossible to catch any sleep. We couldn’t open the windows because this affects the smoke alarm system and warns you could get fined €250, so we were stuck with the heat. In 33 degree weather this was really unbearable, but if you ask reception they will let you borrow a fan - which is great if you can actually get to the plug. The plug socket by the bed is so hidden, I didn’t even realise there was one until somebody in my dorm informed me. When I tried to use it the second night, the bed was screwed into the wall so close to the plug, it wouldn’t even fit in the socket. The staff were very helpful however and let me change beds to a plug that was accessible. I am lucky that this bed was available, or I would have had another unbearable nights sleep in the heat. Maybe my experience in winter would have been different, but during summer months I’d say give this place a miss!!

I loved this hostel for the amount of cozy space it had downstairs, the location and the friendly staff. It is about 15 min walk from Munich Hbf and only about 30 mins into town/city centre.

A little further up hill from the station than we’d expected. The road is too tricky to cross directly so you have to walk further to cross over and the hostel doesn’t have laundry facilities on site

Property is very nice. Clean rooms with a good layout. We had a 6 person room booked for 5 of us and had plenty of space.

    1. The Bathroom and WC were very old, not clean and not up the my expectations. I had previously been in the Meininger Hotel in Heidelberg, and there everything was new and clean. 2. The second thing i didnt like, was that the Hotel was directly on the main road with lots of traffic, both cars, trucks and the tram. It was very noisy. 3. The Beds had only one usb charging port, which could be reached easily. There were other outlets in the room, but very far away.

I really liked the location, near station Hackerbrücke, the lounge was nice, you could spend time there to study, chill or read. Everything else was also nice, expect 3 things. (see below)

It was summer when we stayed. The room was not equipped with air conditioning, which I am not sure if standard in Europe, as was the case with our last stay in Paris. The centralised fan is not strong enough to cool down the room. We keep the window open all night. The next day was better since it rained.

Walking distance to restaurants and bar, Tram station, and Munchen Central. The staff was polite and helpful.
