The location of the hotel is very convenient, next to DESY. The room are very comfortable and even being next to a busy street, it is very silent at night.

The breakfast was on the expensive side (although it was very good). The elevators have a quirk where they always stop at the reception, which is annoying when you’re going from the parking garage to the room. The room could use more table space and outlets. Bring an extension cable! While it was generally clean, we found some trash under the sofa. The bathroom could not be locked. A minor issue both worth noting.

Our stay at Mercure was great, would definitely return! We had a big room with a mini fridge, a pod coffee maker and a water kettle. The beds were comfortable and the room had plenty of hangout space. Outside the room was a vending machine that provided convenient snacks. The breakfast was great, with a large selection of food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a connected parking garage for only 10€ per night.

Very good place. Nice personal, clean room, good WiFi, amazing breakfast. The bus stop nearby allows one to travel to the center of Hamburg in 20-30 minutes.

The breakfast is fantastic and the location next to DESY is great for visiting researchers. Will book again next time around. From Hamburg main station there is a regilar bus connection taking some 30-40 min to the hotel.

The restaurant was not open in the evening. The bar had a small menu, so would have been nice to have the restaurant. In the afternoon the bar area was shut so nowhere to get a drink or coffee.

Location was good for us next to Volkspark and there was basement parking.

I felt that the room was pretty basic, breakfast was average and the toaster took 3 goes just to get warm bread. One slow coffee machine led to queues in the mornings.

Pretty expensive for what it was, room was pretty basic and the shower was hit & miss for temperature and power.

Beds sheets are for some reason extremely loud when you rotate on the bed and go all over the place.

Rooms not really cleaned to standard I don’t think I noticed bathroom was dirty in areas.

The bar area could be nicer.

We had a very spacious suite (with interconnecting door) with a sofabed for our son. The minibar was nicely stocked and a coffee machine was available.

The room n general for the price offered could be better as well as the staff cleaning the room, especially when a label 'still taking a rest' is hanging at the dor.

We arrived at 10pm and had booked a room for 3 people. In arriving at the room the sofa bed was not made up and there was only 2 pillows on the bed. We had to hunt around for the bedding for the sofa bed and request towels and pillows from reception. I would have expected the room to be ready and to have enough towels, pillows, cups, glasses and coffee for three guests.

It was convenient for the Barclays arena. It was easy to get the the city via the bus network. The Hamburg card was really worth buying to enable travel around the city from the hotel.

The location is a bit far from the city center / Hamburg HBF / central station. One need to travel almost for 35-40 mins via public transport (Bus - X3) to reach the location. The location is peaceful and quiet but does not have much shops or restaurants around except just one or two.

I stayed in the hotel just for a day. The staffs were helpful on sharing the location details when phone. The room was spacious and clean. We were offered complementary drinks in the evening, which we liked very much!

The hotel is outdated, so this is a type of hotel that used to be fine like 10-15 years ago. The design is really old fashioned. But that’s not a big problem. Some of the sheets were not really clean and looked old.

The reception was easily accessible by phone and ready to answer all your questions. The room was clean and baby friendly. Loved the lights.
