Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

They changed something to the bed equipment (the comforter for sure and perhaps the mattress and the pillows also) since my last visit and I didn't sleep as good as I used to.
Convenient location close to the subway to go downtown Hamburg.

Couldn’t get a proper coffee at breakfast, just a push button machine.
The bed was very comfortable and the sauna and steam rooms were fabulous!

The personnel at the reception (at least the three people that we dealt with) is not very nice or welcoming, it's almost like they're doing you a favour at checking you in and out or answering a simple question. The price is fair given that's Hamburg, but don't expect a real 4 stars experience for the price.
The rooms are basic but comfortable and with everything that you need. The bathroom is small but really nice with a big modern shower. In less than 10 minutes you can reach the Rathaus U-Bahn stop, so definitely a strategic position.

Elevators were small and insufficient for the size of the property. Had to use the stairs instead most of the times.

The only thing which was not super pleasant was that we could hear noises from the streets.
Location is good, near the city center, breakfast is really good (huge variety of foods), room was quiet, clean.

The hotel is not far from the city center. Close by there are playgrounds for those with small kids. Clean room, good service. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the day we needed it. But there are some good options nearby. Overall it is a very good option of a super comfortable place for fair prices.

The room was too small for a 4 member family and especially for the price .
Nice and convenient. Nice play area with pop corn maschine ! The room had a nice TV and very comfortable beds . The toiletries from Rituals were very nice and the breakfast was excellent .

The smell of liquid soap was not very nice.

We booked as a group of 3 in one room but only had 2 robes and 2 pairs of slippers. The beds were quite hard and uncomfortable.
The room was very clean and a really good size. Mini bar was complimentary and restocked every day. Bathroom was very modern and the toiletries smelt great.

The mini fridge isn’t very good. Location is on the corner of what seems to be two major streets. The hotel is fine enough, just not aesthetically pleasing exterior and location.
We stayed here for a few nights with our two kids. The room was big enough for all of us and quiet enough. The AC worked well. The hotel is just a few blocks from a Rewe in case you need to pick up some groceries. There are a few restaurants close by as well. Public transportation is close by and only a few stops from the center of town. I had to work a few nights so I went downstairs and their wifi was good. I sat at the bar/restaurant and had some snacks and drinks and the staff was very nice. There are meeting rooms but they all cost extra.
