    Forest surroundings - bliss

Staff seemed stressed by times. It would be great if there a baby sitter available. The food is traditional - so quite heavy and salty. There are no attractions in the village of Saig itself. The nearest town can be accessed in 5-10 mins by car. The outside play area for kids needs improvement.

Superb location for forest trails (hiking, biking, trail running etc). Beautiful scenery. Peaceful location. A great hotel for kids, who are welcomed and catered for, with high chairs, kids' portions, play room, cot etc.

The restaurant was ok, but I feel a little overpriced. Too many items on the menu. My advice would be to take away 50% of the items and focus on doing the remaining items really well.

Rooms were nice and large, and the bathroom had recently been renovated, so we loved the walk in shower. Pool was a lovely feature, but for me, could have been a couple of degrees warmer. The visitors card was excellent value. We used it to take buses and trains all around the area.

No bad experiences at all, however the beds were not so comfortable.

The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The food was great, especially the evening meal. The hotel is situated in a beautiful village with public transport on the doorstep.
