Toilet in the room could start leaking water in the middle of the night requiring manual intervention. Breakfast being good would benefit from having one more option of the warm dish. Both mornings there were some variety of eggs (either omelette or boiled) which isn't enough. Having warm sausages or even simply both omelette and boiled eggs would be better. Parking is good but apparently even this is not enough so there is a scheme in place where the cars have to be parked in 2 rows with cars in the back blocked by cars in the front. Honestly, this does not feel like a solution. I don't want to bother during my holidays if I'd be able to drive away in the morning or whether my car blocks someone while I'm hiking in the woods.

Location is quite and picturesque with convenient connections to everyone. Kitchen in the room is fully equipped with nice selection of cutlery and dishes. Breakfast is good with wide variety of cheese, spreads, breads, tee and delicious jams of crazy flavors. Also chairs in the breakfast hall are comfy provoking to sit and stare in the windows. Bed in the room is amazing, I haven't slept that good for ages! Compared to other hotels nearby parking facilities seem to be outstanding.

It was slightly difficult to drive there. The hotel is next to the Elbe. You have to cross the town marketplace after going through very tiny villages in the mountains with small roads and then there is a very small 2 way road where only 1 car can drive. I was glad to have a tiny Fiat. It IS possible to get there with bigger vehicles too and it is very quiet on the road there, but this is something to be aware of. Parking was in 2 rows.

Beautiful location. Clean room. Very lovely breakfast with homemade specialty jams etc. that even included vegan options (when requested). Staff was very kind and helpful. Contactless check-in when you come outside of check-in hours. A perfect place to rest up and enjoy nature. Parking was available and pets were allowed. Even though we didn't bring any we love meeting others' pets on holidays.

Great place overall. Very nice location along the river below the park. The highlight was the warm and welcoming owner and the lovingly set up breakfast room. Excellent food and lots of nice choices. No detail was missed and it made for a special start to the day.

I’d suggest you ask for your free Gästecarte ticket for free bus, ferry and train travel if walking the Malerweg or just travelling in the area. (It covers the day of checkin and the following day.) It was quite unusual that the manager/person checking me out did not immediately offer it and seemed confused when I asked for it and had no system for printing it-I had to fill in the details myself. All other hotels and pensions automatically provided it upon check in without any prompting.

Everything was maintained, clean and the location was beautiful. The breakfast was good-I’ve never seen so many jam options🙃.

Although the location is beautiful, you have to drive quite a bit along a narrow path (hoping there won't be any other traffic). There are no signs which rooms are where. The bathroom felt a bit improvised. It's not super stylish or anything. The music was stopped and staff started cleaning up already a few minutes before the end of breakfast time. It was a perfectly fine stay, which usually would/should be cheaper I think but the area and breakfast probably justify the price.

The location is beautiful as well as the building itself with its garden. Great view! The receptionless check-in on rest days work perfectly! Breakfast has all kinds of vega(n) and bio options, it felt very natural. A nice stroll along the Elbe away from the Basteibrücke.

The hosts were exceptional, the property was amazing. We had nice big room for us to relax. The jams are must try, I will try to come back again. There were restaurants nearby and do try local food from "Imbiss Zur Habe". Lastly the location is amazing with slight rain in the evening it made my stay even better. The only thing that I could have changed is the length of my stay, I should added at least 1 more day to in the stay

i really enjoyed my stay, I was in a single room so my review is based on my single room. The bathroom is small but functional, I didn’t have any toiletries such as shampoo, or conditioner all what was in the bathroom was pump soap. i also wish they had a hot water maker personal preference, so I’m able to make some hot tea. There was no safe in the room and no hangars in the closet. Other than the lack of toiletries and hot water maker I really enjoying my 2 nights at this beautiful property.

The property was for me in a perfect location about 15 min walk to the center of Stadt Wehlen and around 25 min walk to Rathen. It was very quite and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing.
