The staff didn't speak English and didn't really listen when I tried speaking German. It was our second stay and the first time we didn't have this problem so it was maybe a fluke?

Great location with a view at the street but not so noisy so I could rest properly. The size of the room just fit me. The receptionist was very polite.

    - The hotel was a little difficult to find upon arrival; - trouble regulating water temperature in the shower (either hot or cold); - *mattresses were far too soft, and beds were squeaky*; - would have appreciated a little more elbow room in the bathroom; and - universal keys had us a little worried. Overall, though, very good for the price, would definitely come back.

Cleanliness was top-notch, fresh towels every day; conveniently located on the red metro line (U2); fairly priced; classy old building; accommodating staff; simple yet varied breakfast buffet, and also adjusted to any holiday (e.g. champagne and berliners available on New Year’s Day); the room was nicely presented, bright and airy - and also *quiet*, like we requested. *We especially appreciated*: - the individually-regulated thermostat for the heating; - the fact that bathroom noise did *not* seep into the sleeping area, even though adjacent to it; - the fact that there was plenty of room for us to open our luggage (3 pieces) and still circulate freely; - the numerous outlets, enough for three people to charge all of their electronics; - the uplifting feeling of very high ceilings (on top of the overall roominess); and - being allowed to leave our luggage at the hotel for a few hours after check-out, as our flight was leaving late in the day allowing us time for additional sightseeing.

The hotel was in a good spot. Near the hotel there was an underground, lots of shops and restaurants. Parking was easy and free. The building is old but repaired. The hotel rooms are located on the fourth floor. Fortunately, there is a lift. The rooms are very simple, you can find only beds, small table, old chairs, one wardrobe. lighting is not very good, only one lamp. Bathroom small. All equipment is obsolete. Beds are not very comfortable. Breakfast was good. This type of accommodation is really just one overnight stay.

The facilities have seen their best times and you have to pay extra if you'd like WiFi access. The disadvantage of the building is that you'll be hearing everything what people in the room next to yours are doing and talking about.

The hotel is close to ZOB bus station and Charlottenburg palace. It's located in an historical appartment block with a pretty stairway. The staff is nice, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is simple but good.

The plumbing facilities desperately need upgrading. The room we stayed in had a window without a curtain which mean't the room stayed quite bright during the night.

The property was in a good location for easy travel to the city centre and also had good bars and restaurants within a short distance. The breakfast was adequate and the room was a good size.

Location of the hotel was excellent, just 5 minutes walk from the central bus station and about 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station ( Kaiserdamm on the metro U2 line ) The room was spacious although the Bathroom was quite small.

No free WiFi! This is not today's standard. The electrical "outlets" were actually plug boards hanging at the wall, kind of insecure. This could be done better with little effort.

rooms are small and simple, no luxury. But with TV, good beds, with toilet/shower/sink in the room. Most important: the rooms are clean. Breakfast was great: for 4€ you get bread, sausage, jam, muesli, milk, coffee, juice, all you can eat. For the little children they even only charged 2€. The big hotels would probably charge you €12 for this.
