Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Wi-fi has to be purchased and it is also very bad. I appreciate the hotel's desire to extend the use of its consumables and not washing towels every day is fine by me - however one towel I had had a blood stain on it. I had a room in the roof and there were no curtains, which meant I was woken easily by light. The shared facilities are very spartan.
The room itself is clean and comfortable, and I was well aware that the facilities were shared. The location is right near the bridge to the Polish border and near the old town, and the host was friendly and helpful when needed.

There were lamps but none worked because they needed to be recharged The shower water went all over the floor. The curtains needed to be longer

The cheapest alternative for this fabulous city! Quiet and peaceful. Not so warm, but a good place to stay for the night. Great guy the receptionist!

There is no kettle or other kitchen supplies in the room, although it is spacious enough to have smth. This would be great to have to enjoy the hospitality of Görlitz.
It was best price in the area. Great for a larger family- e.g , room with 5 beds available, spacious room- enough air for a quality sleep. It was possible to check-in on our own and quite late in the evening with the given instructions. Great location - close to the old town. Parking on the grounds. Bed linens without intense washing powder aroma.

Because of limited staffing hours it's not possible to leave your luggage there before or after check-in / check out times.
Conveniently located simple pension right on the edge of Görlitz's old town just near the bridge to cross into the Polish side. Rooms are simple and no frills, but clean and comfortable. This was perfect for our visit to Görlitz to see the Christmas markets.

The fact that there was not free wifi is a bad thing for a hotel. I think they should make it available and for free.
Apart from the issue described under over the wifi, I like everything.

The fridge didn’t work and smelled funny, the shower drain was stuck (the hotel wanted to send someone to check it out, however it was too late in the evening for us).

Because it's a border area, my mobile internet didn't work. There's an option to buy Wi-Fi access at Picobello, but the only choices available are buying Wi-Fi access for a week or a month, which is completely useless if you stay for a few days or just one night like me.
The room was really big and quite clean, with all the essentials such as additional towels, toilet paper and even a hair dryer. You can park your car in front of the main building which is very useful. Very good price.

Doushe was not correctly isolated with a curtain. Be careful of flooding the floor.
Cheap room in the center of the city. Very warm. Good position - next to the bridge to Zgorzelec. Good view of the river. Close to streets with historical buildings. Shop at the Poland side is quite close.

The shower head was attached to the wall but not in a normal manner, so you needed to take it off to shower properly, also the shower curtain in our room was so dark that it was quite dark in the shower which wasn’t a problem for us but could be for someone else.
Suited our needs for one night stay. Beds were comfortable. Location was easier enough to get to, it’s a bumpy ride rolling your suitcase around. There are some lovely food places around
