Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Kitchen equipment could be better (for example sharp knives, lights). Host does not communicate in English (not a big problem, she can speak German obviously, or uses Translator).
Nice host. Pretty, clean rooms. Quiet location. Proximity to Legoland (by car)

Location is perfect, near Legoland. There are several restaurants nearby and after a great dinner we walked around this pretty town. The room is big, clean and cozy, the host was very helpful and kind. Everything went smoothly.

We could hear someone walking on the floor above so we were conscious of the kids not making too much noise, but not an issue overnight.
We stayed 2 nights to be near Legoland, ideal for a family or group with a car. Burgau town and nearby towns like Ulm are nice to visit from here.

Only the airco was missing. We had to open the window due to the heat and there was no musquito screen.
This private room with bathroom is ideal for 1 or 2 days. Very complete room with a lot of facilities. Location is excellent as a stopover. It's near to Legoland. 😀 The host is very friendly. We really recommend this place!!

Our apartment was on a separate floor, it was cozy and clean. The bed was comfortable. Perfect place if you are traveling with children. Burgau is a safe and quiet city that is a great location if you are looking for a base before visiting Legoland.

All was perfect.
Very nice, spacious and cozy apartment which has everything you need. Very convenient location of rooms in the apartment - no walk-through rooms. Balcony is available for the main sleeping room. All windows in all rooms have additional blackout curtains. The kitchen is fully equipped - tableware for everything, as well as all cutlery and kitchen utensils: toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, electric stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer. Bathroom is very big too. The host is very kind, sympathetic lady, who is always ready to help the guests. She met us at the apartment and showed us where everything was and explained how all the things work. Free parking place is just opposite the house.

Quiet place, staying there as 5 person family for 1 night on the way to Legoland. For this purpose, it was perfect. Nice host, flexible with late check in.

Bathroom is a bit small.
Very clean and well furnished (microwave, fridge, small oven..). Owner is very friendly, but not intrusive.

We got a room with private bathroom. The room was at the top, but the bathroom was no the part of the room. You have to go over corridor where others can see you to get the toilet. There is no locker on the door of barhroom. The kitchen- no water in the room (only in the toilet). There is no air condition as is prommissed. If you are higher than 155cm watch your head because doors are not higher
