Breakfast was 20€ per person which was fine but discovered after arriving back home and looking at the bill that we had to pay extra for the breakfast beverages. Next time I‘ll ask beforehand if drinks are included.

It has everything you need for a short stay, however there could be some more amenities like water bottles, a kettle or coffee machine, but that’s nothing big.

Located in St. Georg with bars, cafes and restaurants close to the alster lake and close to the main station was so handy! It has also parking lots for cars (12€/day) Also the stuff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful room with a view over the Alster. Whilst it was raining it didn't dampen our spirits as we used the central location to visit parts of Hamburg using the public transport. The bus stop was just around the corner with the journey to Hauptbanhof just being a few minutes away. Breakfast of all sorts were available - fruits, juices, cereals, cold cheeses and meats as well as breads and pastries. There were also hot options including scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon and beans. A vegan frikadelle was also available. A selection of tea and coffee to round things off. It was my wife's birthday and they offered us a birthday experience with a beautifully decorated table looking out over the Alster. Complimentary celebratory cake and champagne was also included.

We booked a lake view comfort room (with a price difference from a smaller room and not lake view) but we were given a no-lake view. There’s confusion on booking.com and hotel itself on booking a lake view as we were advised you have to specifically request for it… Moving on… The first room given to us was not clean (toilet has “leftovers”) and we had to transfer to another room. We were advised by the staff that she’ll hand the new key to us in the new room but never came. So.. We went to reception to check new key but no staff were there and had to wait about 20 mins. Overall unlucky and we only stayed for a night and very looking forward to that lake view.. Hope this experience is helpful.

I had upgraded to a room with a view of the lake following a prompt from booking.com that I could secure one for a higher rate after my initial booking; when I arrived the staff advised that a view of the lake wasn’t guaranteed for that rate and my room faced the car park. Terrible pillows! No aircondition… avoid this Hotel during warm summer period. A bit dated… not 100% ’fresh feeling’. Will make another choice next time in Hamburg.

Apartments across the street were able to look straight into the room. I had to close the curtains, which made the room seem like a dark cave. The floors in the room are luxury vinyl planks, including in the floor above me. I could hear every step the took and every time the chair was loudly moved around. This often happened until midnight or later. There's a good reason that most hotels have carpets.

At €18 the breakfast is a bit expensive in my view. The parking garage entrance looked very narrow, I didn't even try to use it. The Wifi connection was on and off in my room.

Nice room in a quiet area, a minute walk from the Lange Reihe with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Good size room for it being a one person room. The room is nicely decorated and has a comfy seat.

The design of the room ,mostly in black and mirrors was not to my taste. It did not appeal and did not feel warm or cosy.

The bathroom is very small, everything has a feeling of old and/or cheap (furnishing, corridors, elevator). The fridge wasnt working, also there are no phones in the rooms. The explanation was something to do with them losing the adjacent building to someone (real owner?), I didnt catch the story.

It is silent, you can sleep quite well. The bed was comfy enough I guess. Also the price is good compared to other properties in Hamburg, especially on last notice. The receptionists were polite and helpful

Nothing much- the hotel met my expectations. No air-conditioning during a hot spell in Hamburg but this would have been asking too much as very few places in Europe have air con.

Great location for visiting Hamburg. Along the Alster so good for walking around the lake and in the street behind the hotel lots of eating places. It is a convenient 3 stop bus ride from Hamburg central station. The hotel had a section across the courtyard which was not facing the busy road and made for a quieter position. Didn't try the breakfast but plenty of choices nearby.
