A basic stopover with great breakfasts

Advertised restaurant closed in the evening, so we had to travel/buy picnic for evening meal. The room was a little bizarre - it had extremely sloping ceilings so you had to take care when getting out of bed, for instance. Stairs to first floor. Worst thing (for us) was that the wifi didn't work

The owners were friendly, and breakfast was excellent - scrambled eggs cooked fresh for my husband. Good variety. Comfortable bed. Large shower room. Seems to specialise as an hotel for cyclists. Is more like a B&B than an hotel.

    Authentic German Gasthaus

Our room was very small, although adequate. No air conditioning.

This property was very small and quaint. Beautifully decorated and very authentic feeling. Located in a very small village so not a lot going on, which was find for us. The breakfast room was charming and the selections were good. There was an honor "mini bar" where we could find cold drinks, wine, beer, etc. which was nice since there didn't appear to be stores nearby.

    - Emailed 2 times to ask a question about the stay, no reply, nothing! ( emailed a week before and 2 days before ) - Upon arrival we heard that the hotel had a holiday, so was empty. - No space to have a drink or eat something, restuarant was closed! - Was able to charge my car on a standard 220V outlet, but they charged me 20 EUR for only 15 kW of charge, which is maximum 3 EUR of electricity. - Shower was very small, and the head you had to hold it yourself because it was broken. - No shampoo in the room?!

Breakfast was nice. Not a lot too choose, but enough and fresh. Wifi was stable and enough range.

The Friendly Owners and free parking

The restaurant was closed and there was no other in the village requiring a longish drive and difficult parking in a nearby larger town where finding a restaurant also proved difficult. We were forced to eat outside as inside was filled with smokers. We were almost forced to succumb to" Maccers" location inside the railway station,
