The only drawback - which isn't the hotel's fault - was that it is situated high up with lovely views. Unfortunately that attracted small parties of rather noisy young people that liked to review their engines until about 1 o'clock...maybe it wouldn't be quite so attractive if it wasn't a very warm weekend!

Location, food, friendly staff and room was god value for money.

The staff were 50\50,half friendly and the other half grumpy. They advertise that they are 1.2 kilometers from city centre and this doesn't mean 1.2 from the station. They are 4.2 from the station, a 15 Euro taxi ride from the station. The hotel is fine for people with their own transport, otherwise it is too fat out.

The breakfasts were very good, the rooms were comfortable and clean and the view of the Rhein was good.

If you want to be in downtown Koblenz don't stay at this hotel. It's located high on the banks of the Rhine and has a beautiful view. You have to take a cab or drive to get downtown but it really wasn't that expensive to get a cab and the drive was only about minutes.

The room was clean and had a nice bathroom. The outside of the hotel doesn't look like much but our room looked like an IKEA catalog and seemed as if it had recently been updated. The view is beautiful. The breakfast was very good. We were able to get a cab easily and were downtown in about 10 minutes.

The welcome was not what we expected it looked like we had just woken the owner up so not very welcoming. The location is not walking distance to the town unless you don't mind climbing down 400+ steps (old rocky steps). Not easy to find the hotel without GPS.

Probably best to have own car but the local public transport into the city is prompt, fast and reliable as well as good value for money.

Traditional small hotel in peaceful location overlooking the city with amazing views. Exceptionally clean and well designed rooms which remained cool even through a few days with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius. No air conditioning but good to be able to open windows. Good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. Helpful and efficient staff.

    Cannot think of anything!

Stayed at Hotel Rheinkrone for a week at New Year. People were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very good sized and comfortable for my wife, adult daughter and I. The Food was great especially the Sylvester Dinner on New Years eve and very reasonably priced. View over the City is fantastic. We loved the place. Thanks Bruce.

Description is misleading. It is not a comfortable walk to the centre of Koblenz - unless you are a mountain goat! The hotel is perched on a hill way above the town and the return taxi journey cost €30! When we were asked what time we would like breakfast, we said we were leaving early and there was no offer to cater for that or offer an alternative. Staff were not really very helpful

However, the location is on a mountain, which is ten minutes far from main station in Koblenz by Taxi.

This is a clean and nice hotel. The host lady is very nice and considerable. She arranged a quiet room as we requested, and it's tidy and clean. We have a very peaceful night there. The sight view from the hotel is very wonderful as you can oversee the whole city. The hotel also serve for breakfast and dinner, which are really delicious with plenty of food.

Slightly far away walking distance from the city centre. It is possible to walk safely to the hotel, but it takes good 40 minutes. The view is absolutely worth it, though.

Very kind staff both at the reception and in the hotel restaurant. Beautiful view over the place where Moselle and Rhine meet. Free and safe parking in front of the hotel. Delicious and varied breakfast.

You would need to be fit and determined to walk into town; there is a footpath but it includes 224 steps down to the river. Not really a negative, given the splendid views afforded by the location. After the first experience we used a taxi and at 14 Euros worth every cent.

Friendly, English speaking staff. All facilities were quality and working and it has a decent restaurant. Perched high, over the river from Koblenz, it has a birds eye view of river and city. Plentiful free parking and decent, if narrow, roads makes this place ideal for the motorist.

Nice views over Koblenz, room was clean thou a little dated and beds were comfortable. Parking was on site and we walked down to the city and got a taxi back. The hotel restaurant is excellent and both the evening meal and the breakfast were good. Some English was spoken and staff were friendly.
