Hotel is very noisy, rooms are in need of refurbishing. I had to leave 2 days early due to needing surgery for a broken foot and they refused to refund the remaining two nights which was disappointing.

They lock front door before 10pm & give you a key for back entrance which is hard to find & down a back alley. Not a good experience

Great location to catch KD ferry, was able to drop my bags early. However was told reception closed at 8pm. My train was canceled so I was a bit worried. However when I arrived just before 8pm was told it was 10pm. Room was ok, bed average & room small

The hotel is very dated, and the hallways are a bit dark and scary. The main door is not soundproof so we could hear every little noise from the hallway.

Great location right on the Rhine. Delicious breakfast. The room was clean. Very good value for the money.

TV channels didn't seem to work. It would be nice to provide a kettle and cups in the room. There are plenty of sockets to plug a kettle in?

Common balcony means you can't leave your balcony door open. Plus you'll be breathing in cigarette smoke from other guests. Car park is a bit of a distance (10 minute) walk away.

Only 4 car parking spaces, so book a space in advance ( chargeable ) or it's a 10 minute walk to free car park that's often full.

Rooms overlook River Rhine and railway.( double glazing removes most of noise but ask for room at back if you don't like trains ) Breakfast good and has meals available all day until about 8pm.

No fridge or A/C and there was noise from frequently passing trains, but that added to it atmosphere of this lovely hotel.

Lift was broken, we were travelling with a baby and a stroller and they put us in a room which the lift (when working) didn’t reach so we had to carry the stroller up four flights of stairs. It was very hot, there was no air conditioning or fan so we had to sleep with windows open and there were A LOT of mosquitoes in the room. Staff didn’t know a lot about the area.

The bed is the worst part, you feel the spring of the bed. The pillow is useless.. feels like nothing in it. The in evening shift is nice, He help with the internet. There is no lift.. Thats terrible.

Walls exceptionally thin; not the trains that others have mentioned, but I could hear: drunk guests coming in loudly and singing late at night, children running in loudly at about 5am, several other room’s toilets flushing, luggage being dragged down the stairs at 7am (despite being a fair way away…). Mattress ok for me but thinner than some would like. That said would definitely go back but ask for a room further from the entrance and stairs (number > 11)

We were hoping to eat in the restaurant on the first night but they shut at 8.00.

The location was very good for visiting the Drosselgasse, the river and all the main sights. The views of the Rhine were amazing from the balcony and our room.

The room need updating. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls. There was a terrible odor in our room. The mattress was uncomfortable. If the room faces the Rhine, you hear the train all night

But it was small, with horrible view, the TV wasn't working well, neither did the internet. The elevator was out of order and the breakfast was underwhelming, the reception barely occupied (it was hard to find someone to help us).

Bathroom too small, toilet crammed in too small a space beside shower. Hand wash dispenser was empty. No glasses provided. Only about three TV channels worked on the very small TV provided (no English language channels). We stayed the previous two nights in a far superior 4 star hotel in the same town which was slightly cheaper and their price included an excellent breakfast whereas in Hotel Rhinestein breakfast cost extra.
