Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt was difficult to open/close the shower door with a bath mat down. But without the bathmat down, the floor in front of the toilet became wet.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Very easy to check in and out. We swapped the house-keeping service for free cocktails, which we took up to the roof terrace. Very pleasant!

United KingdomI would describe the room as style over substance. Pointless self check in. In the time it took to show us how to check in the member of staff could probably have done it quicker. Stylish room. Strange design having the shower as a glass box open to the room. OK as I wasn't sharing a room with a friend or colleague . There is a curtain you can pull around it. Not sure if they use the same design in twin rooms. Quite a small room my room slightly more expensive than my daughters but couldn't really see what I was paying extra for. Bed okay. Weird uncomfortable pillows. No fridge. Should be standard at this price point. Strangely has a music amp next to the bed. Hence style over substance as I couldn't see the point of that but had nowhere to put my drinks to keep them cool. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Not an issue for me as I don't need them but I imagine a lot of guests might expect that as standard also. There was a room on our floor with a vending machine and tea coffee facilities. However when I looked there were no cups so a good job I didn't want a drink. Didn't find any shops close by where we could get drinks or snacks. About 20 minute walk from Marienplatz and just round the corner about 5 minutes away could get the hop on/hop off bus. Quite expensive but the weather was not great during our stay so opted for it as a way to stay dry whilst seeing the city. Not keen that the reception/bar is on the 4th floor. Lifts on the ground floor and you don't need to scan cards to access the different floors so anyone could access the different floors. You did have to use your keycard to access the corridors with the rooms.
Good air con. Great toiletries. I liked the idea of getting a free drink from the bar if you opt out of the daily room which is something I would do for short stays anyway. The staff in the bar are really professional and the bar area is a really quirky design great furniture, spacious and comfortable. The rooftop terrace is a great space for when the weather is good. Very close to the train station and about a 15-20 minute walk to the bus station. A Metro station a few minutes walk away. Some cafes and restaurants close by but didn't feel particularly safe walking back to the hotel at night.

AustraliaWe didn’t realise we chose the environmental option (watch out for that in the check in process) so our room didn’t get serviced and we had to go downstairs to the reception for new ones. Minor inconvenience but something to remember so you hang up your towels.
Good no frills hotel close to the train station. Staff are friendly and the bar is open late and has fantastic cocktails.

FinlandRuby customer service on the phone (different from the Ruby Rosi hotel) hung up on me when I tried to say I wouldn’t be arriving that day. However, the customer service at Ruby Rosi on site was really good. The window view was nonexistent. I paid over €700 for 4 nights.
Breakfast was fine and I liked cappuccino. Easy access to old city.

AustriaThe only downside was the lack of information about parking. It would’ve been really helpful to receive instructions on where to park before arrival, especially for guests unfamiliar with the area. A quick message or note from the hotel in advance would make the experience even smoother.
I had a great stay at the hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable — I slept really well. I also loved the design of the hotel; it felt modern yet cozy. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a good variety of fresh options.

AustraliaThey usually seem short staffed at reception because the staff will also be manning the bar, but staff seem lovely enough, but are unable to step away from the desk if they do not have anyone else to cover them. The air conditioning seemed faulty, where we were unable to adjust the room temperature any cooler, unsure if it was just our setting that we had wrong, but we showed the staff and she said that it seemed that we’ve got it right. We were swapped over to another room and it seemed better as there was more airflow, so the room was not as stuffy, but temperature was still about 23. We slept well enough, but felt it could have been more comfortable if we could cool the room down more.
Fantastic location close to the central train station, laundry place just across the road if you need it and lots of food places nearby. Cons about the area as it is right smack in the city, things can get noisy at night especially if there’s a rowdy crowd on the streets, but that didn’t bother us too much. It would probably be better to have a room facing the central courtyard as it is likely to be more quiet there. The room was comfortable and there was enough space to open two med sized hardcase luggages.

United KingdomThe room was very small, the person sleeping nearest the window has to turn sideways to squeeze between the bed and the wall (that also has the tv on it) which is no mean feat in the dark if you need to use the toilet.
Lovely hotel, very close to the train station. Check in was easy and the staff were helpful. There is no option to make tea or coffee on the room but there was hot water and tea bags available on our floor 24/7
