Room furnishings , bit tired and the very small bathroom but adequate and clean . Some traffic noise on the front facing hotel room , early morning .

Ideally situated for visiting Schloss Braunfels and adequate as a one night stop . The person serving breakfast well-meaning . Coffee was good . Fair value overall . A bonus to find TV had English language channels Sky and CNN : not to be taken for granted in German hotels of higher grade .

The light on the corridor. It is a bit dark and therefore does not look as friendly as it could be.

Beautiful location, nice picturesque room with a balcony with lovely sight. Great bed.

The room was too warm, stuffy...even with the window open!

Good location. Beautiful and quiet, old hotel with lots of character and charm, lots of nice dark wood. Big room and nice size bathroom although shower could use an update! Breakfast was very good!

Nice breakfast. The location of hotel is very good - easy to walk downtown to local restaurants and shopping. Staff was very accommodating and the parking was convenient and free.

Outside it was very noisy starting at 7am. Although they gave a code for access for up to two devices, I never got it to work.

Great location, within easy walking distance of Schloss Braunfels, the Marktplatz and numerous restaurants and an excellent Ice Cream Cafe. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was good.

Pillows lumpy, German duvets filled with??? lead pebbles? Mattress good, though.

Best value for money, great location, wonderful garden facing room, quiet, super breakfast with fresh flowers on every table.

hotel is too expensive for what you get. for euro 65 for a single room there should be a mini bar in the room. the view was awful, overlooking a flat roof and kitchen smells coming out of the chimney. - any guest should ask for a room overlooking the park.

braunfels is an extremely nice and cosy town with a wonderful castle. the lady from the eifel at reception made me a takeaway breakfast pack on my day of departure since I had to leave at 6am, before breakfast. that was so nice and considerate of her. I have never had this careful attention anywhere else in Germany. many thanks !!

The shower was a little small for me but it was not a big deal.

This is a very old hotel but it is kept up really well. The rooms were very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. This was a great little town in Germany and really enjoyed my stay at this historic hotel.

The restaurant which is a part of the hotel complex serves only Croatian food which we do not like.

A very attractive hotel located in attractive surroundings, The room was rather small but had everything that you need including a great view. (Did have a very good Italian restaurant close by)

We happened to be there on the hottest night of the summer so far. It would have been nice to have had some type of fan in the room (such as a ceiling fan).

A very nice breakfast buffet. The restaurant connected to the hotel (serving Croatian food) was delicious.

The room was spacious. Nice bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Easy parking right out front and and an excellent restaurant next door. In the quaint, historic old town and close by the schloss. We loved it.

    Everything was satisfactory or better.

Right in the half-timbered old town, near one of the great castles in Germany. Lots to see and do. We visited for a few hours last year, returned, and really enjoyed our stay in Braunfels.

Breakfast options were ok but fruit could have been fresher. The bed was also acceptably comfortable for the room rate, but a little more upgrade would have been appreciated.

Staff provided efficiently helped us with extra needs. The hotel was picturesque and charming inside and out. We'll be back!

Restaurant was a bit hit and miss. Not sure it is part of hotel as we had to pay separately. Nice location in garden though.

Lovely place in a great location and Braunfels is a fab town. Staff helpful including booking golf. Good parking.
