Rooms were bad, even tho I've booked a suite. TV was small and just one (no TV in a badroom) from no name producer with about 12 channels.

Friendly personnel and a great breakfast.

The staff was impolite, do not speak English and do not appear to care about good service. You would expect more in a place like this. they seemed to be better at ease with the German guests, perhaps this is more of a place for local parties etc.

The building is beautiful and set in a charming environment. very rural.

Rooms looked a little empty and cold. They could have offered a toiletry set. Person at the reception was not very friendly.

    Location, building, breakfast, restaurant.

There is no Wifi in the room and a mini bar would also be welcome.

The quiet surrounding where the hotel is situated, the nice garden where you can take your breakfast and the big bathroom.

Breakfast was ok but nothing special (it was on par with a city budget hotel). Wifi was basically non-existent. You can get a cable for a laptop from reception but don't expect mobile signal or wifi signal to work in your room. Many little "hotel touches" were missing (but expected for a €120+ hotel) - e.g. no kettle or coffee/tea in room, no fridge or minibar, only tiny TV taking up half the desk space. No robes in our room, but friends' room which was €10 more had them (!?). Only one pillow each and it was the old-style 80x80cm pillow - would've been nice to cater to international guests and add an extra pillow or the 40x80 variety as 80x80 is very uncomfortable. Location requires you to have a car - taxis can be booked from Brakel but were told they sometimes don't turn up. Check-in staff were very short and no information was given to us at check-in except the key and a card to sign.

Building is beautiful monastery building and room was spacious with exposed old beams in the ceiling and walls. Peaceful setting next to old church. Ok prices in the restaurant though food was quite stodgy. Vegetarian/vegan option available for dinner. Bathroom was nicely finished and spacious. Some staff were friendly but some were very abrupt.

We had one good dinner, but it closes early in the evening. No place to go for a drink.

Rural, countryside location on edge of a pretty little village. The feeling of being in a historic place. Friendly staff.

    Parking was a bit limited

We reserved a room for 2 nights and were treated to a 3-room suite! Great breakfast, beautiful surroundings.
