The mattresses should be replaced, also there’s two separate mattresses in the King sized bed, which come apart, there’s room for improvement there.

Very nice location, next to Grünwald Castle, overviewing the Isar river, lots of greenery around. Rooms are equipped with beautiful furniture. Breakfast is served in the Restaurant (Italian) and of course there’s fantastic coffee, plus eggs on order, and a small but nice buffet.

It is too old-fashioned and really needs to be renovated. It has the charm of an old villa, but all the furniture is old and not really clean.

Very homely feeling, I love old houses! My single room on the second floor was very comfortable with tv, minibar and comfortable bed. Perfect for one night’s stay. The pizza in the restaurant was excellent.

Rooms very dated, but you could say this is the appeal as the hotel was a hunting lodge and is straight out of a Bavarian fairytale. Staff were not super accommodating, failed to explain how breakfast works.

-The property is in need of updating - carpet, artwork, and furniture are dated, stained, and tired. -We booked the property because of its outdoor space - the patio in particular. We are from Texas and were shocked that they closed the outdoors because it was "too cold" at 55 or 60 degrees- in GERMANY! -Not a great place to stay during Oktoberfest. It was very difficult to get taxis this far away from the city center.

Staff was extrememly helpful and breakfast was delicious.

Unfortunately there was no air con in the bedroom, however a fan was provided and the window could be opened.

The (twin) room was very good and spacious with a decent sized bathroom with shower. Continental breakfast was provided, with a lot of choice including cooked food. The restaurant was very popular even during the week, and although i did not pre-book a table for dinner, i was still able to get one at about 8pm - and the food was very good!

There was no air-conditioning so the windows had to be thrown wide open as it was a hot summer night. Breakfast was okay but could have been more inspiring

Hotel is in quiet outskirts of Munich on the edge of the Isar Valley. It is at the end of the tram line which runs into Munich. It is about 3 minutes to walk to the tram, further at the other end but by the river and in a nice part of Munich. (We could even swim in the river). The hotel itself is part of an old castle. Eggs were prepared fresh at breakfast. We were travelling with our son who had an adjacent and closely integrated room which was perfect.

Loved the location! Superb to have a base for short trips by bike or foot. The river banks are just a 5 Minute Walk away. Ila, the manager was brilliant; always available, friendly, energetically helpful and full of Italian Charme! Perfect stay in a wonderful historic building. Will come again!

The location Grünwald, outside of Munich. Restaurant-Italian was very good with nice friendly staff in both restaurant and hotel. You sense they are happy working in the hotel and restaurant!
