How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

room had plenty of space which we needed as we had to re-pack after 2weeks of travel before flying back to South Africa. View over the forest area was very relaxing.

Would be nice to have a little fridge In The room.
This hotel is lovely and authentic. It’s a bit old but that doesn’t matter. It has great character. The pool and aauna were amazing. And staff is helpful. We had a rental car and easily for around. We had a great time.

We had a non-smoking room with a balcony, which I asked for at time of booking, however could smell smoke from the outside neighbouring balcony room, it was very hot (no aircon), so leaving balcony door opened allowed fresh air to flow but had to close it due to smell of smoke. Bed wasn't comfortable. No elevator, so don't come with a big suitcase.
Room - was very clean, The robes in the room was a nice touch. Breakfast - there were good options and the omelette station was a nice touch. Didn't use the spa, and wait staff were helpful.

Restaurant facilities are quite poor for a hotel with such a score. Limited buffet is not what you expect in a 4* facility.
Friendly people at reception. Rooms OK, a good bathroom with plenty light (important). Hotel is mainly catering for tourist, so perhaps less suitable for business travellers in the summer periode. Breakfast room OK with plenty choice.

Room furnishings look cheap for a four-star hotel, especially bathroom. Food quality good, but not much choice at lunch and even less for dinner.

Couldn’t regulate the air conditioner or find out how to work. One employee, at breakfast, long black hair, was not nice.
Beautiful pool, Awesome restaurant and breakfast. Julio and a lady, shirt hair with glasses, were super nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Couldn’t find the air conditioner or regulate it. We just opened the door, to get cooled off. One emloyee ,a lady with long black hair , has very bad manners! Not friendly at all.
The pool was awesome. Julio was super nice and there was also; a very nice lady in the restaurant with short hair and glasses! Very helpful! Easy check in! Awesome breakfast. Fabulous restaurant! I would definitely stay here again.

Room partly renovated. Old bathroom fittings and old carpet which lets the overal impression down.

The first room we were given was somewhat small for 2 adults and 2 children - we have registered for a family room, the one given to us was in reality appropriate for only 1 child. This was changed after we (really) insisted. The infrastructure needs some refurbishment. In our case this was not a problem, but for people with disabilities walking the many stairs and steps here and there could be of a serious obstacle.
The pool and the wellness area were quite good. The breakfast was really abundant with a lot of fresh fruits. also close to excellent. The food for diner (we have chosen the half-board option) was good on some evenings, very good on others. The staff were really kind - also in accommodating small (5 & 7 years old) children.

Rooms are a little all over the place. So one has to go some winding paths to reach one’s room.
Very good value for money. Perfect for a spa weekend to get out of the city. Very good breakfast.
