Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great breakfast with plenty choices hot or cold. Room was spacious with comfortable beds. Loved the idea of a separate toilet to the bathroom therefore making it all a big space and well planned out. Underground station close by so it was easy to get around

Creaky prefab toilets. We stayed for 4 nights and the cleaning staff only cleaned and ordered the room once.

Rooms can be more spacious. And the phones to reception does. It work or turn around time is long.
The WC and the bath area was separate. It was very thoughtful. And saves time when you go with the family.

We were very disappointed by the behaviour of a lady at the reception during our check-out. She spoke inappropriately to a 3-year-old child and showed an unfriendly attitude when dealing with the luggage storage service
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, close to the main attractions and very well connected by public transport. The service is of high quality, with great attention to detail that makes the experience even more enjoyable. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. A place I would highly recommend for a comfortable and convenient stay in Berlin.

Sofa bed provided wasn't comfortable at all and should be avoided.
Nice, clean room with the toilet separate from the bathroom. Tea and coffee provided with breakfast available on-site for an additional charge.

Room felt sort of outdated, some stains. We got room for disabled, little strange, especially the bathroom. The parking is common for 3 hotels and it was full. The bar was closed for 'internal celebration of staff' - like seriously?

The elevator takes a lot of time to arrive, we used the stairs to go down three or four times during our stay to save time.
Everything is very good, location, cleanliness and the staff, especially Karim at the front desk :)

The advertised kitchenette did not really exist, but was just a separate microwave and a watercooker for instant coffee and tea. No options to cook a meal or prepare your bread without plates, cutlery, cups, bowls, whatever cooking utensils; these were all missing.
Excellent, spacy room with a lovely view; great bathroom with separate bath and shower; separate toilet. Spacy and comfy beds, everything clean. Excellent curtains to darken the room.

It's not a usable kitchenette. There is a sink, kettle, microwave and fridge. No cutlery nor plates. No way of cooking anything. Only heating food in microwave. If you book the room for 4 people, you only get 2 chairs so you either have to sit in bed and eat or take turns. Staff would not provide extra chairs.
Good location, friendly staff. Underground parking.

Parking places not bookable.
Location is very good, city transport is near, by foot walking to center town is ok. Good for family vacation. Entering to parking garage is very easy, but tight conditions.

Parking at the hotel is a bit pricey (€17 a day).
Good location with shops and restaurants around. The train station is a short walk from the hotel, too. We enjoyed the breakfast despite the short wait for the table, which was included.

The lift was painfully slow and missed the floor you were calling from regularly. Breakfast was a little uninspired.

Hotel didn’t provided any complementary Tea/coffee at room for day-2.
Standard check in time 3PM but hotel handover room key around 4:20PM. This is not acceptable from Novotel hotel.
