The Hotel Uhl was just what we wanted...an historic property inside the walled medieval town. The staff was friendly, helpful and responsive, and the room(s) were clean and comfortable. We were traveling by rental car so a safe parking space was really important.

The rooms overlooking the street are very noisy until late at night and starting early in the morning with the bin collections, but this is only an issue if you need to sleep with the windows open which we did as it was very warm at night. I'm sure you can request rooms which do not overlook the street.

Wonderful location in the old town. Hearty continental breakfast every morning. Cosy, clean and simple decor which met all our needs for a budget-friendly hotel stay.

No elevator so we had to carry our heavy bags up two flights of stairs. In-house restaurant closed at 7PM

Loved the location, right on the main street into the historic center. Free parking for hotel was just a short walk away.

No air conditioning, but there was a good breeze from the windows. Two single beds pushed together left a small gap.

Perfect location at the very center of Rothenberg, good pricing and parking, great bakery and breakfast (mostly fresh bread and pastries), very cozy rooms and overall design, good shower and restroom.

The staircase is very dark in the evening. The sensor light does not stay on long enough for people who stay in the rooms on the top floor. There is no mini fridge in the room.

Nice clean room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Safe parking place for our car. Solution-oriented owner: as the key lock of our room broke down, the hotel owner did all he could to help us. In the end he offered us another room for which we were very grateful.

Located just past the most photographed spot in Rothenburg, the Plönlein and short walk to Marktplatz. Offstreet parking close by. Good breakfast included in cafe below hotel.

Room does not have any USB chargers Carpet and furniture need an update. Mattress was comfortable.

It was a hot day and unfortunately, our room was also very hot. Opening the windows to the street didn't help much. There is no airconditioning present and while this is understandable in such a historic building, it is something to take into account if you plan to stay during the height of summer.

The hotel is located close to the town center and from there, you can easily explore the old town. The staff is very courteous, helpful and friendly and our included breakfast was copious and tasty. The hotel has a locked parking garage that is about 100 meters away from the hotel so an easy walk after parking. Our room was spacious and clean, overlooking the street below.
