Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe were only given 3 coffee pods for our entire stay. Additional pods can be purchased at reception but given the cost of the room I would have expected slightly better facilities.
The view from our room was gorgeous. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely 3 days there.

United StatesThe breakfast was marred by spectacularly bad coffee, which improved to insipid when gotten from the espresso machine. The dinner buffet was institutional quality.
We liked the little balcony, the comfortable bed, the beautiful terrace with its bar and view, and the spacious bathroom. In the dining room, the wine list was good at dinner and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and well-chosen.

United Arab EmiratesExcept for breakfast staff, rest was not really helpful, feels like hotel is understaffed and there are not enough people to work. We asked for fresh towels, didn’t get them after an hour. One day our room got forgotten for house keeping. There was no assistance to get our luggage when we arrived, we were told to get the trolley ourselves. And a huge negative surprise: in no hotel ever we had to pay for coffee capsules for the room. Really ridiculous way for budgeting. Parking is also expensive which should be complimentary for the guests. For a five star hotel which such great amenities, this was a huge disappointment.
Beautiful building and interiors, we got a very spacious suite, everything was spotless clean, extraordinary breakfast and great and helpful staff at the breakfast. Gym was nice and spacious enough with windows which I highly appreciate.

GermanyThe negative aspects are mainly organizational and management issues. There was too much scheduling of cleaning, catering, and activities and sometimes it felt that you were more in a military school than in a holiday resort. Let me give a few examples: . You need to book every day one of three possible slots for breakfast on a paper board at the reception. Once, we forgot to do so and we ended up in an embarrassing situation at the breakfast reception because we were told that we were not on the list. For the rest of the stay we kept this stress in the back of our minds: "Have we thought about booking our breakfast slot". . The room is only cleaned thoroughly every 2 days. It is nice for the environment. BUT, it happened to us that we missed the big cleaning because once we came too "early" from the beach (~1pm), we had an afternoon nap and the room could not be cleaned. The day after the room was only superficially cleaned again. So, because we missed one cleaning, in total our room hadn't been cleaned properly for three days and was eventually very dusty (and full of sand, of course, in a beach resort!). . For SPA use, there is also a complicated schedule where the pool water massage nozzles and jets are activated and deactivated, where children can use the pool (this actually not respected by parents), and the sauna opening. So instead of being able to spontaneously enjoy the SPA anytime, you need to schedule your relaxing moments. So the message to the management: don't forget guests are here on holiday to relax and not to overthink the timing to solve your organizational issues or save money.
Göhren is a beautiful and quiet holiday place with very nice beaches and surrounding landscape. Both dinner and breakfast were made of top-quality products. Most of the food was tasty and original. The presentation was perfect and a lot of attention was given to the details. The dessert and cheese selection was really excellent. This was outstanding for a hotel buffet. Compliments to the chef! The staff was very kind and in general very professional. The spa area was good. The yoga lessons were very much appreciated and gave an additional relaxing touch to the overall experience.

GermanyBeds comfortable but on the hard side, so probably not suitable for everyone. Between breakfast and dinner there is only cake and coffee available, no lunch and no snacks - but staff said this would be changed soon. Restaurants nearby within easy walking distance, though.
Historic hotel on top of a hill overlooking the sea on three sides. Very friendly and attentive staff, also very helpful on the phone before our stay. Upon arrival the room was ready for a toddler complete with a mini bathrobe. Room spacious and light, no bath tub but a rain shower. Beautiful sea view. The hotel overall is very well tended to, clean and in very good shape. This goes for the communal rooms as well as the restaurant and spa area. In spite of some of the comments left here, the pool is large enough to actually swim in (11 m in length), but is obviously not meant for training. The spacious restaurant offers a very good warm and cold breakfast buffet. Fittingly, fish is served daily. Eggs are made to your liking. Different cream cheeses and sauces seem to be house-made. There is also plenty of choice of loose teas. In the evening, there is a set menu with soup, a choice of fish, meat or a vegetable dish and a sweet or cheese desert. Most nights, these dishes could also be ordered individually - maybe advisable with small children to keep it brief. The food is very good and the chef tries out daring and interesting combinations of flavors. Would be very interested to see a whole menu laid out by him. The staff here, too, was very attentive and friendly - drawing material and toddler seat at the table when we arrived. Also, taking the food to the room was no problem. The feel of the hotel is very relaxed, no dress code, very family-friendly.

United Kingdom1) Evening meal advertised as 'buffet' at 40 Euro per head was little more than lots of salad and raw fish. We went for (much cheaper) 'A la carte', but when it came to check out the restaurant staff had 'accidentally' failed to amend the bill, resulting in a big argument with hotel at check out. (ie they tried to over-change us 46 Euro). 2) There was a power cut of around 40 minutes during our last evening there. We noticed that neither of the two emergency exit signs were illuminated, nor was there any emergency lighting in the corridor. We had serious doubts as to if the fire alarm was operable with no electricity. We remembered a recent hotel fire in Turkey where many people died due to a non operational fire alarm! When this was pointed out at check out the guy didn't seem to appreciate the seriousness of what we were saying. 3) We were charged an extortionate amount for parking in their car park, which had no facilities whatsoever. 4) A cleaning person tried to enter our room just after 09:00. They should have waited until at least check out time...

UkraineThe location on the hill means you have to be ready to do some workout for you legs every day while going outside to shops, restaurants, beach etc. This is not a negative comment, rather a note to take into account.

GermanyWe were located in one of the secondary buildings. The room was clean but the interior was quiet dated. The receptionists were seemingly always so short on time that they couldn’t spare a simple, friendly greeting. Due to a club located around the corner there is also quite a bit of noise from the partygoers up until 3am when the majority find their way home.
The bartender was very nice and helpful
