Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing comes to mind.
The property is tucked away from the main road down a tiny track in lovely surroundings. It has ample parking, old charm and good food. Breakfast is good too. If you want to explore the area there are loads of walks and Koblenz is only 10 minutes away by car.

United KingdomQuite echoey upstairs so doors opening and closing were very loud.
Wonderful location. Nice rooms with views of forest/deer park. Hourly bus link to Koblenz- 15 min journey. And handy for Boppard and the Rhine valley. Great breakfast. Evening meal was good, though if you aren’t used to game, avoid the pickled venison- very strong taste

ChinaDoes it make sense that even the most faraway remote hotels in China, we have street lights at night, drive into the dark forest in the middle of the night, it's horrible, and have no front desk staff?
As a foreigner, I must say the stay was very exciting. I arrived in the middle of the night, called twice before I arrived and failed, arrived at the hotel at 12 midnight without a reservation, thank God two numbers were called and got through, a young man said he would be there in fifteen minutes. So I waited in the dark forest for the most exciting wait of the year, the sound of unknown birds chirping in the woods, the grunting of some animal next to me, what appeared to be people camping in the car park, the sound of talking and music coming through, lots of stars in the sky, a young male employee drove up to give me my keys and showed me to my room, very sorry for waking him up in the middle of the night, I hadn't got used to the German reservation system. The next day I learnt that next to the hotel is a merganser base with lots of families coming over to play, last night it was the mergansers who were snoring, breakfast was a traditional German meal, I'm not expecting German food now, it's just edible.

GermanyLack of a mini-refrigerator and the bathroom door was broken. Also, there was no one at the reception and the reception itself was not obvious, as it was in the bar. We spent 20 minutes trying to find the reception.
The location is fantastic, there is a nice mini-zoo with birds, peacocks, and deer. The hotel is in the forest, where you can walk and breathe fresh air. Also, the staff is super friendly.

United KingdomOnly tiny little things which will probably be picked up in the next maintenance checks. Really just minor dilapidations. Nothing to stop us having a very nice stay.
Superb location in the woods next to a deer park. Plenty of popular forest walks. Lovely buffet breakfast - very continental. Staff were very obliging.

United KingdomWhat no-one says is that the hotel is in the middle of a zoo. Whilst it's nice to see the animals it is a very busy location and can be noisy. However there is some very good bird watching in the forest nearby. At the end there was a mistake charging and it took a good few days to get there money back.
The breakfast was fine and we had a good dinner if a bit expensive for the quality.

The location is amazing, tucked away in the woods. I am sure it can be busy during the day with walkers etc stopping to eat in the restaurant but once they are gone it is pure solitude. The room was clean and comfortable and the food (evening meal and breakfast) was excellent. The hotel is about 10km from the centre of Koblenz, so within easy reach if you want to go sightseeing and is not far from the motorway network either. Overall a really enjoyable place to stay and we'll certainly be using it again.

SpainBreakfast and coffee could have been better.
Nice big room with terrace, there is a refrigerator and a water heater to prepare coffee/tea. Breakfast was ok. Location is great for being in nature, within a forest and next to a park with deers. Not such a great idea to get there by bicycle.

United KingdomIt was much further out of the city than I had realised and a dangerous footbridge made access to the nearest bus impractical. As a small hotel, it was unable to provide other than the standard cheese and ham German breakfast. Honey and brown bread had to suffice.
It is a rustic building, authentic and not 'modernised'. The surrounding area is a nature park with wonderful views.
