Great room, was clearly updated not long ago. Very clean and everything worked. Easy to park at the hotel. A few good walks directly from the hotel itself. We had dinner there and it was excellent. Breakfast also had a great choice. Note this hotel is a long way from anywhere but its fine as long as you have your own transport.

The building and rooms show their age, and a carpeted floor is not really my preference.

The food (lunch and dinner) was outstanding, service very attentive.

Little far away from town, plan to eat there in the evening

very nice staff, pool table and table tennis. Spa was very nice but booked up. Pool is not kid friendly (it is allowed but part of spa area so this is not practical). It is not a problem, but important to know ahead. Other spa areas are all adult oriented. Breakfast was good

This hotel is situated high in the Black Forest. The views from the very comfortable rooms are of the forest and you can start many walks into the forest from the hotel. The restaurant is lovely. Tables are set into cosy corners by the old stove and under a traditional cuckoo clock. The food is excellent and accompanied by a fine choice of wines. There is a lovely pool and relaxation area with views of the forest and even a bowling alley!

When I saw the pictures of the rooms, I expect a bigger room (I booked Family Room). But it is much smaller than I expected. But you have everything you need in the room, very clean and I only stay for 1 night, soo it is ok. For several nights it might be a bit tight for 4 persons (2 Adults and 2 Children, 12 and 15 years).

cleanliness, location, friendly stass and family fiendly

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, they provided us with a delicious last minute dinner even though we arrived late (just before 9pm) and extra pillows and sleds to play in the unexpected spring snow. The guest card giving us free public transport was very useful. The room was super clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, fresh and tasty. The pool and sauna facilities were likewise very clean and very relaxing. The surroundings were beautiful with lots of lovely walking opportunities.

Location of room: next to reception area, above the kitchen. and lobby - very noisy with a clock clinging every hour in lobby, also during the night. Room old fashioned, very small bathroom. Worth 3 but not 4 stars: obviously not good value for money.

Everything was very nice. We didn't try the fitness room and I noticed a bit of a "musty" smell in the hallway near the fitness area however, this was very minor and did not impact our stay at all.

The Finnish Sauna was new and very nice. The room was newly remodeled and very clean. The restaurant served excellent food at dinner. There is a lovely meadow across the road. We walked there once each day.

Service was overall good, but given the cost felt hotel should be striving for even stronger focus on its guests.

Proximity to Nordic Ski Center, a T-Bar lift perfect for 5 year old Alpine skiers, and nice pool for families.

    I cannot fault the hotel.

The location allowed us to rest in a comfortable hotel whilst hiking. The service was of such a standard that you relaxed and rested unconditionally.
