Because of many restaurant visitors it wasn't easy to find a free parking lot. At the height of summer the temperature in the rooms under the roof will become very hot propably. By reason of the position on the river and the related mosquitos one can not open the windows, because there are no screen enclosures.

Lovingly renovated former tobacco barn, and fitting to this our room was invitingly furnished in an old-fashioned way. The restaurant offers good food for reasonable prices.

The restaurant can't not pay by card.

The room is modern, and the location is in the centre of the village. The restaurant is beautiful, and the foods are delicious, the price is reasonable, I love it. And the staff are really friendly.

Weinstube in the hotel was fully booked so we had to find something ourselves. We went to a restaurant around the corner recommended by the staff. However, still sort of disappointment.

It was a very spacious apartment in the hotel. The room was clean and there are two bathrooms. Nice part of the city with enough restaurants to choose from.

Breakfast - coffee not made fresh for each guest/table, consequently it was somewhat stewed sometimes. Also I stayed twice in one week, either side of a family wedding, and the second time in a different room I couldn't pick up any English-speaking channels on the TV in my room. On my first visit a few days earlier I could. Also far fewer TV channels to choose from the second time.

Dinner - excellent quality, a pity the cost can't be rolled into the total hotel bill but has to be paid separately. Excellent location, close enough to tram service to be convenient but far enough away so there was no noise. Tram into city frequent, clean, safe and reasonably priced.

Stairs could be a problem for some guests.

Hotel with restaurant in half-timbered house, tramway to Mannheim and Heidelberg only 200 meter away. Excellent breakfast. I had a nice room, with windows on two sides.

No air con so a bit warm. Our room was above the kitchen. A bit noisy with open windows when they are closing.

Roadworks in front of hotel. We had an "apartment" under the roof. There was a narrow spiral staircase to the toilet a floor below. Not ideal when you are half awake at night. Half-curtains still let in a lot of light. Odd cracking/shuffling sound throughout the night. Uncomfortable springs in the mattress.

Arriving late was no problem. Pretty old building. Less expensive than other hotels in the area. View over the old town.

Top floor with no lift so quite awkward with heavy bags. Really hot on this day so a bit uncomfortable but fans were provided. Parking a bit tricky as lots of development happening nearby.

Good sized apartment, very clean. Excellent and friendly team. Close to local amenities and fairly close to city centre. Also ate in the restaurant which was superb.

They seemed very out of sorts as they were having major construction on the street that the hotel is on. We had to wait a bit to check in and the had to carry our very heavy bags up 3 flights of very precarious stairs (but that's part of having an old hotel).

The old hotel is very beautiful. Service was friendly. The room was fine and furnished well. The bathroom was very nice and new.

The warm water only arrived at the tap after 20min. The WiFi was not working at the appartment. It was cold when we arrived late at night. Windows were open in December. Even if the appartment is very nice and well located the cost benefit not good.

    Nothing to dislike.

We were allocated lovely small apartment about 500 metres from main hotel. Situated in a courtyard it had a small kitchen area good sitting area and bedroom with double bed. Shower in bathroom. Overall very good indeed. Excellent Evening meal and good value cold buffet breakfast for the euros each.

There isn't much choice for a sweet breakfast but if you like ham or cheese it's ok.

Unfortunately, on deeper examination you will discover that the room is poorly cleaned: dusty linings and some spiders nested on the roof. Could use some more care. Internet connection didn't worked for our whole stay. Breakfast with very poor choice. If you book for the suites, consider that they are 3rd floor without elevator. Quite far from the town center. Very poor quality/price ratio. Will not come back again. If you're looking for an accomodation in Mannheim, my advice is to continue searching: you will find better hotels in the city center at the same, or lower, price.

On first glance, the hotel seems a nice tipical historical building. The suites are big.
