The fact that the Hotel was quite expensive, and there was no Mini Bar or Coffee and Tea making facilities in the room. This tended to down grade our estimate of what otherwise was a very pleasant stay.

A well placed hotel for touring around

The hotel is well placed for touring round Schleswig Holstein, there is good parking, excellent wifi and a lift for those who carry the kitchen sink to the room. Most of the staff were able to speak some English.

My wife is in a wheelchair.

My wife is in a wheelchair. The room was well outfitted for a disabled guest. However, our request for dinner was met with a REFUSAL at first, because of the wheelchair and then with reluctance, an early sitting offered, provided we vacated the table by 8:00pm so that tour bus guests could be accommodated. When we asked to be seated for dinner in another region of the dining room, after my wife was able to rest (after 7:00PM) where there was a one- step elevation which she could have managed, we were refused. We had to leave the Hotel to dine that night. On return, we noted empty tables in the dining room and in the one-step area of the dining room. Why couldn't they have found a corner somewhere for a hotel guest to dine in-house? Isn't there a law that a hotel guest in a hotel offering paid meals to guests, be honoured to dine in-house, even when handicapped? If there isn't a law that inkeepers offering meals to prospective guests be prepared to serve them, even if handicapped, there should be!
