Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur stay was too short 🥲
Excellent on all counts. The welcoming staff. The feeling of a welcome home stay. The dinner. The wine tasting and instruction from the wine farmer. The location.

NetherlandsDue to overbooking we were asked to overnight in an apartment some 200 metres away. That was no problem for us , but nevertheless was a negative point in our stay.
Very friendly husband and wife team. They cooked a delicious evening meal, and breakfast was also good.

BelgiumWe had a great time and we had a charming room with embroidered cushions and down pillows, but the bed was a quite squeaky and I could hear my partner’s every twitch. In the middle of the summer, a small ventilator would have been appreciated to help create a breeze, specially for our dog.
We had a quiet romantic stay with our dog in a beautiful charming town, surrounded by nature. The hosts were lovely people, super friendly, and we had the opportunity to taste the wine from their own vineyards, the delicious food prepared by the wife herself, and all with our dog being as welcome as us!

United StatesWe loved the whole experience but wished we had found the hotel app in English before we arrived. Guestfriend - then choose Moselland. The restaurant in the winery is only open on weekends
So nice. Booked one night, but wished we had booked 3! Albrect and Maria Gietzen were so helpful. Albrect met us at the station even though it was a 4 minute walk. We received free bus tickets to Burg Eltz and restaurant recommendations in the nearby towns (10 minute train ride). Room was comfortable with a great bathroom and balcony right in the winery. Fabulous Rieslings to buy right there for 12€. Breakfast was lovely.

The weekend was perfect: fantastic breakfast, a friendly host, a spacious apartment with modern bathroom (upgrade from the double room due to Wifi issues in Room 8) and the matresses were comfortable (not very firm, but neither did I end up in a "hole"). We were given free tickets for regional public transport (bus and train) for the duration of our stay. Location was great! Tip: if you need reliable Wifi in the bedroom, book an appartment, not a double room in the main house, which is also facing the street

BelgiumThe house is beautiful with very large and nicely furnished bedrooms (sofa, sink..), breakfast is delicious with high quality local products, especially the Musli made by the Chef. Dinner was excellent, and the garden where we ate was adorable. The owner is very charming and very efficient, always smiling and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

NetherlandsRoom was on the loft, and there is no elevator, so a couple of stairs to use before reaching the room. Not good if you have bad knees.
Nice winery directly at the river. Accomodation had a nice room with a renovated bathroom. We had a large room with good beds. The bed was only a little short. The accomodation has further an authentic wine tasting room where they also serve food. Cannot say anything about the food quality as we took diner outside. Breakfast was indeed very good with a personal touch and served at the table. Friendly and helpfull owner. There is a small parking lot at the side of the hotel and places in front of the garden.

AustraliaBreakfast was lovely, fresh bread and some of the condiments we homemade which was lovely. Plenty of tea and coffee available as well as juice. Breakfast was cold meats and cheeses and breads, not a hot breakfast. When we were there the kitchen wasn't available for dinners. There was a reason for this so it was fine but we didn't know about it till we arrived. We were cycling along the River and were lucky we'd packed some food for dinner simply to save money but if we hadn't we'd have had to cycle 7kms+ to the next town (no big deal, but after a long day of riding it might be tough for some.) However, due to the kitchen not offering meals, the property offered train passes to go to the next town to get dinner. I'm not sure what the train schedule was or anything but that was a good offer in place of dinner at the property. We did a wine tasting and their wine was lovely. We received a complimentary drink on arrival which was a great welcome after a long day of riding. The owners were lovely and chatty and provided us with crockery so we could prepare our dinner ourselves while enjoying a wine tasting. ps. wine tasting is not complimentary.
