The room was a bit small but for 3 stars hotel, it was more than enough.

The staff was very nice and friendly. Liked the hotel bar and the seating in the front of the hotel was nice. The bathroom was big with hot water.

The never ending roadworks out the front mean that finding the entrance to the car park is 'challenging' to say the least.

Great hotel that we have used several times in the past - never disappoints. Good restaurant / bar next door. Great breakfast.

Do not be deterred from visiting!. This is not our first visit to Zum Goldenen Stern so we are a bit biased, but we can be forgiven for that, surely? What spoiled things this year is that virtually the whole centre of Prüm is under reconstruction and has been for the past year and will be for the next 6 months at least. However, ask the hotel by email for some directions thru the road-works . . . they are confusing but we were lucky when we stopped and asked a local guy (his family were in their car too!) who was kind enough to let us follow him thru to the hotel (SatNav was useless ;-(( ) So there you are . . . our only 'didn't like' bit but it is only temporary, till start 2018. do not let it put you off!!!

We only had breakfast in the hotel. A bright, clean, neat and tidy breakfast room with a large and pleasing selection of hot (eggs, bacon, sausage) items as well as the usual cereals, orange juice and a large choice of continental cold meats. Quite a selection of fresh fruit too! It is buffet style with coffee served at table but you make your own tea from large selection of tea types. And yes, the continental pastries are light, fluffy and flaky, so use your napkin ;-)) The hotel itself is 'old- style Southern Germany' with high-ceilinged rooms and modern bathroom fittings. Large comfy bed with lots of room for 2 ;-))) So, go for it and don't let our 'didn't like' bit deter you.

main issue currently is major road building works in main square right outside the hotel. makes access to hotel and off site parking difficult and spoils view and feel of hotel. work starts at 0700 not a problem for us but could be for others. room basic but clean. am sure will feel very different when work completed

breakfast fine and staff friendly after long drive felt like using spa and sauna switched on and towels and Robert provided

Strange odour in the part of the hotel where we were staying, but it did not spoil the stay.

We have stayed here before and enjoy the hotel which is in the centre of Prüm. Good to have secured parking, and the staff are very friendly. Excellent breakfast.

The room is fairly old. They charged €5 for parking a motorcycle, in a non-secure parking are, with an empty parking lot - ridiculous!

Location is great right at the town center and close to all the outdoor stuff. The sauna is excellent!

Very difficult to find due to construction out front of hotel. The room must have been located above the restaurant because it smelled like deep fried fish. The hot water tap didn't work.

    The breakfast was good.

Single room this time, it was maybe getting a little past its best.

Have stayed here several times and will definitely return. Great hotel and probably the best breakfast in Germany. Great bar / restaurant next door.

Room very small no room for suitcases. Although we had a room looking at the Brasilica it was just above the terrace cafe and restaurant. Noisy all night.the shower curtain had a not nice stain on it and the bed sheets although were washed had old stains and again not a nice feeling. Very disappointed.

    Breakfast was good.

If the bacon or sausages were all taken by the time you arrived for breakfast, no more were being cooked!? Just do not arrive after 8am if you like bacon! It will all be gone.

A very easy check-in, with great rooms. Excellent choice of food for breakfast. Very friendly staff.

    Nothing.

The position is very central with parking on site. (at a charge of 5 euro a day) worth it, it has a barrier. The room was large spacious with a large modern bathroom. All clean and comfortable. The hotel had a separate lounge for guests consisting of 2 rooms with sufficient furniture all very comfortable with books and information on the area. Along with a fridge of beer and soft drinks with an honesty sheet. The hotel itself overlooks the church which is very striking. There are a number of restaurants very close by the Bitburger bar does good food and staff speak English, the tourist information is just over the road. You can use local transport to visit Luxembourg we did half and half drove to the nearest railway and then got the the train. There is a lot of work being done on the central line so we had to get off and were bused in not too far. For shopping - If your motoring try the Lidl its not like any in UK or Germany/Austria obviously the nearness to France is the reason, the choices and prices of wines has to be seen. Wish I'd bought more
