What has not been renovated yet urgently needs it. Walls very thin, snoring neighbour made falling asleep harder. Very thin curtains as well, in Summer the room was brightly lit well before 5 am. The restaurant specializes in schnitzel and burgers but my schitzel was somewhat burned on one side. Breakfast OK but too simple for this price.

Partly renovated property, quiet and with friendly staff. Ample parking on the premises, check-in and food available until quite late. Breakfast is well-managed.

Shower in room but toilet in the hallway, would have preferred the opposite. It was a bit noisy from other rooms, a dog was barking so our dog started barking too, we didn't sleep so well here because of that.

Location close to the highway, perfect for travellers like us. A place with a genuine german vibe. good price.

No blackout curtains. I woke up at 5:00 a.m. — this far north in the summer you don’t get enough hours of darkness for a full nights sleep. Generally not many amenities.

Nice little hotel close to Schleswig. Friendly staff, helped us with whatever we needed. Comfortable beds. Filling breakfast!

The only thing is that you have to share one small toilet with the whole floor. And that was a little down side.

First impression was not great, but we booked online and were past the cancellation deadline or we would have kept driving. The person who met me at the reception seemed to not be able to find our reservation in his books and generally seemed confused by our presence. He did give us the key and an invoice eventually, so somehow he found our reservation in his system. The primary surfaces were clean, but it hadn’t really been intentionally cleaned in awhile. Window sills were full of bugs and dirt, spider webs in the corners, moths and flies throughout the apartment and hallway to the apartment even though all the windows were closed when we arrived. Several of the dishes I pulled out to use were visibly dirty. We couldn’t leave some of the windows open because the fryer vent from the kitchen comes up right by bedroom windows making the whole apartment smell like schnitzel and French fries. It wouldn’t take much to make the kitchen more functional, but as is, the whole place has kind of a cheap feel. Like they fixed up the minimum and as cheaply as possible to be able to check the box. For example, one bedroom door doesn’t shut all the way because of cheap workmanship/flooring materials, one bedroom is missing a door all together, a window is missing a handle and can’t be opened, there are no markings on the stove to know what temperature it’s set at, and the water kettle needs to be descaled so badly that it doesn’t even work properly to heat water. In summary, I think this place was significantly overpriced for the value. I would not be as critical of some of its shortcomings if I had paid half the price I did, but at full price? I expected more. If it’s your only available option, it’s passable. But at the current price, you’re better off finding someplace else.

This review is for the 3br apartment that we rented for 169€ for one night. We needed a place after COVID restrictions changed and we couldn’t spend the night in Denmark, so we booked this at the last minute. Next time, we’d keep driving to Hamburg for better options. The good: my kids had fun playing with the little plastic animals, and the rooms were nicely sized.
