How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Restaurant was good in general, but they could have more choice of lighter, healthier dishes. The kid's menu would also profit from more veggies: For example, less fries with the Schnitzel (we got a mountain of them) and a little bowl of Cucumber and carrot sticks instead.
Good simple Hotel with Restaurant, great for visiting Legoland. Quiet and accesible.

Can't open windows in summer because of the trains.

Noise - my bad that I didn’t notice it’s located next to the train station. Probably wouldn’t be an issue if we could close the windows (no AC), unfortunately, it was very warm inside, even tho it wasn’t a hot day. It could also be cleaner.
Great staff, big parking next to the property, the room itself was nice.

The room was cleaned, but the person who vacuumed could've done a better job (very noticable dust paches near the walls. The staff had smoking breaks under our window and the smoke smelled. An older waitress was cranky and wehad some unpleasant moments. Luckily the chef seemed to have a good day. No aircondition and the room was quite stuffy even though the windows were open (possibly the kithen bellow was heating the room up).
Large room for 5. Well maintained. The personel in the hotel was generaly very friendly. There was a missunderstanding for lack of labels on eggs at berakfast (they had milk and it was an alergy problem). However, the waiter was very professional and made sure it was clear the next day (even remembered my coffe preference and brought it before I asked). There is a restaurant with delicious german food downstairs. Near Legoland.

We didn't have that problem, as it was not to hot of the weather, but I think that in a summer top floor rooms are a bit warm. I didn't mind, but the railroad is near by and you can hear and see the trains
Very friendly staff, good size room for family of 5, great family hotel. You can order dinner in a hotel's restaurant and the food there is great

At 06:30 there was light coming through the curtains already…
Nice stuff and lovely food at the restaurant. Family rooms are nice and spacious. The hotel is located in a quiet area.

It is good hotel, kids friendly. Staff is very polite. Room is clean and comfortable to stay for several nights. Close to Legoland. Parking is available. Breakfast is good. Recommended for families who want to visit Legoland

The unpleasent smell of freeture oil filled up hotel corridors.

The smell in your clothes after dinner and breakfast.
Very kids friendly hotel! A small room for us but a big extra sleeping room for the kids. Very nice staff. Good restaurant with nice food and price! We really recommend this when you're looking for a place for one night.

Hard, unforgiving mattresses for the adults.
Truly welcoming to a family with kids. Child friendly and considerate staff. Top location. Nice kids/play room. Well laid out room. Bunk beds for kids are comfy and well designed.

My only "but" is about air conditioning, we were visiting the area during a hot wave and it was very hard to sleep, they just had a fan and no air conditioning. Also the windows, due to security, cannot be opened completely. I kept in any case a great rating for the hotel because I suppose that out of hot wave, without air conditioning it should be fine.
Great family room with bunk beds kids, very close to Legoland and very good breakfast.
