No fridge in the room. No big mirror.

The furniture is rather old and the rooms look somewhat "aged". The windows were far from tight, which may be a problem on a cold night.

Hotel Plaza is really perfectly located, 2min walk from Odense Railway Station and a short walk to the city center. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was quiet and the bed comfortable. I appreciated free tea or coffee in the evening...

Could not fault it in any way .

Staff where excellent very friendly and helpful. We where a little disappointed with the first room that we got so we where upgraded to a suit which was brilliant, breakfast was very good with plenty of verity, overall an excellent stay .and would highly recommend this hotel.

The only thing that really disappointed was the bed. The mattress was very bad and sleeping on it went accordingly. The place could use a general makeover, not necessarily to make it more modern but to freshen it up. It looks and feels worn out.

The quality of the breakfast and the choices were good. The permanent assortiment of tea, coffee and fruit was a really nice gesture, as well as the various afternoon snacks. The staff was very polite and helpful in answering questions.

    - Tasteless food for breakfast. - Friday night there was a big party on the ground floor with very loud music heard all around the hotel till 1 am! Bad sound isolation. Although it is not written in the hotel description that such parties may take place (we absolutely did not expect this from such a hotel and were surprised), the staff reaction showed it was normal. So consider this before booking a room in Plaza.

Location is good: walking distance from the centre and the train station.

Parking space at hotel premises was very small. Had to park in the street. Luckily the morning after was a Sunday and so I could leave the car there for free. The ribeye steak that I took at dinner was below average. Caesar salad taken by my wife was good.

    Staff was friendly and courteous.

It's in the style of the old/grand hotels every city has but it is a bit dated.

The location was quite convenient for visiting the city center and key landmarks/sites. The staff was very friendly and the hotel has an old school elevator that the kids loved to use.

Water in the bathroom was warm, but not very hot. Little bit of street and hallway noise in rooms.

Love the ambiance of the hotel, classic and big rooms! Beds comfy. Breakfast is great and extensive. The little store with snacks and drinks at reception is super handy.

The parking lot attached to the hotel was overbooked which meant we had to park our hire car on the street overnight despite being given a parking ticket. I chose the hotel so I didn't have to do that. The staff were no help about it.

Rooms clean, nicely decorated and roomy. Good food options around within walking distance. Generous European style breakfast. No tea making facilities in the room but available in the foyer.

This hotel is in desperate need of full renovations, unlike what other reviews say I find there is nothing "quaint" or "charming" about it. Our bathroom had a shower head in the middle of the room with one of two shower curtains missing, turning the room into a swimming pool after one person showered. The concept might have worked if the second curtain had been installed, but I still don't see how the washbasin would have remained usable without wiping the floor down with towels afterwards as the drain was located under it, not under the shower head. A misguided attempt at an integrated "seamless" shower. Not to mention the light fixture above the bathroom mirror dangling out of its socket because it's missing it's holding pin. We opted to just not shower that morning after testing it and realizing that the second person to use the bathroom would have to stand in a completely wet bathroom. The stink of bleach in both rooms that we looked at, the latter of which we stayed in (410), was only mitigated as the second room had windows which could actually be opened. In the first room we were assigned (401), one window fell out of its frame when opened, the other had no handle. If we had planned to stay in Odense for more than one night I would have eaten the cancellation fee (full payment) and switched hotels. That this hotel is advertised as a 4 star hotel is an insult to 4 star hotels anywhere. Also, no unsalted butter available during breakfast and the coffee was awful, one of the bedside lamps had a defective bulb and the do not disturb sign had a sticky substance on it, but honestly, those minor complaints don't matter in the larger scheme of things. The frontdesk people were really nice about us switching rooms.

The breakfast was not great - machine coffee and tea . Also although free parking it is not guaranteed as limited spaces .

We booked non-smoking room but the room we were given had strong cigarette smell although it was marked as smoke free. There were multiple electric plugs/outlets in the room but none of them was working except the one in the bathroom - not enough for us as we had to charge cell phone, camera and external battery.

Convenient location with very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. Parking is very limited and will not be available if you arrive late. Staff was very nice & informed us of street parking nearby that's free at night.

Don't expect a large room -- as is true of many older Scandinavian hotels the focus is on giving you the necessities (bed, bathroom, desk, chair) rather than unused space.

Cleanliness can be improved - e.g. bathroom and carpet. But also desk. Breakfast was below standard. Dry bread, dry cakes, hot scrambled egg was lukewarm and just not what a scrambled egg should be. Bacon overcrisp, not pleasant. Sorry about this, but breakfast just not good enough - though plenty of it was offered. Coffee not very good, water for tea lukewarm. Pickwick tea brand second-rate.

The bed was super. And clean. Room spacious. Quiet enough. Even though room was situated at front with a lot of traffic - and I am sensitive to that - noise was kept out effectvely by double window. Staff friendly and very helpful. Enough working space - good desk + wifi. Plenty of sockets for charging all devices. Atmosphere of hotel good, pleasant old building. Lovely view from breakfast room.
