Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The location is slight away from main attractions by minimum 15-20 walking time.
Lovely Hotel by the water, great breakfast and Bar place in evening. There were some refurbishment being done on the higher floors but was not much disturbing. The AC in our room was not working in 1st night which was promptly attended to next day. Good staff and service,

The construction works as above, the toilet kept breaking and flooded our room at 2am one night - even though we didn’t use it. Tables had hard edges where one of our party cut their leg open on it the day before leaving.
Property was clean, and nice. However there were construction works taking place during our visit that we were not told about. This caused disruptions, waking us up early on 2 mornings of our holiday. A

The room is very comfortable and clean, but could do with some updating, especially the bathroom. For a hotel that claims to be 5-star and mentions that it has satellite channels, the diversity of channels was very limited. In particular, no French channels, not even TV5 monde. Surprising and a little disappointing.
The hotel's location by the sea and close to Copenhagen's historic center is exceptional. The breakfast is varied and very good.

Staff base knowledge was low at checkin. Despite prepaying was faced with a challenge from front desk staff that we required to pay despite paying. Required 3 staff to verify payment was made despite showing the payment confirmation Booked two rooms, put a block on a credit card for both. When my children arrived for the second room, front desk staff were insistent that a second card block was required. Requested assistance to get a taxi, was told go outside and get one. Front desk staff were not welcoming or helpful and did think the experience

Inventory overdue, technically problems with TV (not all shown TV channels are available) and cleaning are issues.
Nice spot close to the center of Copenhagen. Central station is in walking distance. Nice view when at the water side.

Rhe room needs some refurbishment and the temperature in the room was way to low. Even if we paid everything completely as we arrived they still charged me more - for a "guarantee" which was not released as we left.
The position of the hotel is great and the size of the room was fine. Cleaning is properly done as expected from Mariott.

The Shower was a bit weak and disappointing. Usually stay in USA Marriots and showers are always fabulous.
Everything was great. I love Marriots and am a Silver member so all good. Room large and well spec. Great breakfast and staff were very good.
