How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewLocation. Ok room.
The main door was unlocked at all times so anyone could just walk into the building at all times. The door into our hallway was also open to anyone and that felt unsafe. The only door that was possible to lock was the door to our room. When the hotel is unmanned there should be a lock on all doors so only hotel guests can access. The sheet on our bed was stained.

Verified reviewI love that it is check in via a code, so easy for driving late!
Wish they would advertise more with the check in process, when arriving late it's super comforting to know that you get a code on sms that you can use to get into the hotel. Plz update the description with more note about the (self)check-in process, it could be useful for others.

Verified reviewThe hotel is perfectly placed in the heart of the town so you can walk everywhere and only use transport when you need to explore the surrounding area. The rooms have good solid furniture and fittings, with many lighting options and a good simple kitchen area. We only met cleaning staff and they were very polite and super efficient. The whole hotel area is built in some former offices over a shop and it is kept very clean and tiny. The parking is really convenient and free. The Internet works and had a fast connection. I would use this hotel again if I am ever in the area for work or leisure. We can recommend the Cafe called "Den glade Gullerod" or Happy Carrott - superb food and service.
On some nights we could hear noice from neighbouring rooms, either next to or above us, and it felt like there could be more sound proofing as the other guests were just talking normally or moving around. On occasions we found a bad smell in our room on our return in the evening after a day-trip and we put this down to the ice-cream & waffle house below. The microwave took some time to figure out and a manual would have been handy. The main control to set time was super sticky and fiddly to use. While the furniture and fittings were good, there were some annoying things missing from our room like a second plate, cleaning / washing-up brush, dish washing liquid and a general cleaning sponge or cloth. We did not inform the cleaners as we felt it was not their job to help, but one said it was normal for there not to be any cleaning tools. One of the Luxo lamps that was mounted by the bed was missing a plastic pipe in the bracket, causing it to sit very loose. But this was really all the negatives and really no major cause for concern.

Verified reviewLocation is perfect in the town center. Room was of fairly high quality, in an old building. Washing machine in basement which i used once was marvellous.
lots of hair in the bathroom drain was less attractive and should be easy to fix, should not have happened.

Verified reviewEverything was clean and well presented. The Danish parking rules are a bit unclear but we parked where instructed and didn’t incur a fine. Please be advised that the shower has two doors which can be moved to enlarge access to the toilet. (Very compact bathroom, but done well)
Needed more air circulation, possibly a small fan? Even with the window partially open, when the blind is in use, there’s little airflow.

Small room, one side and bottom of double bed up against the wall, which I don't really think is acceptable. No staff on site .

Verified reviewVery clean and comfortable and in a great location on the town square - although was quiet when we were there in early June. The room comes with a microwave, kettle, fridge and sink which is useful as there was no breakfast as part of the deal. There is no reception - just a key lock box but that went smoothly. Parking was also easy.
We weren't clear at first where to get the parking permit - but found it in the room.
