That there were no bathroom around the beach area

this was my second time at viva in Samana and even though it was good, a lot has changed from my first stay. new rooms have been build but the common areas and accessories remain the same( restaurants, beach chairs etc). it was hard to be seated at the restaurants because they were always packed

the hotel continues to be comfortable with an amazing entertainment crew and staff. the pool and and beach are my favorite places to spend the day!

It’s very small and there aren’t too many things to do; so It’s more just for relaxation. Also the beach was supposed to be great but unfortunately, we couldn’t use it our entire stay due to high tides

Italian restaurant was not good (I am italian!) and the a/c in the room was very very noise

Didn’t love that the bungalow didn’t have bedside lamps and the decor was extremely plain. Also the front desk staff wasn’t very friendly.

Loved the pool and beach. Coffee was good and decent food options. Buffet and bar staff was super friendly!

- We originally booked a bungalow with private pool but due to an overbooking we had to change to another room. This would have been fine if it had been communicated in time... instead we were told only at arrival. The did reimbursed us and offered a dinner by the beach as compensation - there are really nice dining options but they can't be booked in advance. so we could not go to any of the restaurant and could only go to the general buffet.

This resort was like a little piece of quiet heaven, secluded, not too big, on a beautiful , wild beach. everything is taken care of with great details, the staff was really friendly, it had great food options, and everywhere there was just a relaxing, calm, lovely atmosphere. we also had a wonderful romantic dinner on the beach

There are members on site to on site to sell you timeshares for the apartment next to the hotel But they were nice and friendly and as soon as you told them no thank you they'd leave you alone.

The facilities were clean the staff was friendly there was always an activithere was always an activity if you wanted to participate I suppose I really enjoyed the silent disconnect.

The room pool was always dirty And the room was plain, no decorations at all. It was my honeymoon, and the room was very disappointing

the wifi sucks! better to have no wifi then this - we wasted a lot of time trying to connect to the wifi there was not enough beach towels for every guest available the stuff at the bar seemed overworked multiple times some ingredients were missing for the drinks —> There should be more water dispensers to refill the water bottles - the amount of plastic bottles used was huge more vegetarian options at the reataurants and buffet would be an upgrade

the pool area and especially the beach front was pure paradise good amount of activities - not too much not too view and guests are never forced to participate very delicous and fresh pizza for actvities and transportation around Samana go to the activity office (travel agency) in the hotel - she was very competent

did not find the front desk staff very friendly or very helpful. Booked a bungalow room with a pool the room and patio were great but could not use the pool as the water temperature was very cold so did not feel it was worth the extra money for the private pool. next time will stick with a regular room everyday of our stay one of the two bars would run out of a specific liquor which was annoying as you then had to go to the other bar for a drink. not waiter service for drinks anywhere the A la carte restaurants have no reservations required which is great except that they take reservations for their Club Viva members and have tables reserved for club members, but these reserved tables are reserved the entire night regardless of the time of bookings so no members get told there are no tables available when they have empty tables reserved for a reservation an hour later which makes no sense as to why they cannot manage their reservations better. did not find the food very good at the A La Carte restaurants and menus were very similar. Very limited activities during the day

The location a setting were very nice. Accommodation was good. the buffet restaurant had a nice variety and the food was good. the beach was great was no seaweed and actually had waves. Some staff were very friendly and helpful evening shows were good

The “welcome package” gimmick is very obvious and once you express you’re not interested they act as if you wronged them.
