The view is amazing, the pool is clean and inviting, and the staff are excellent. Breakfast was great too, and we appreciated the security.

Loved the view!! The food was also amazing. And the infinity pool overlooking the pool. The owner was very hospitable and even lent us his binoculars for the stay so we could look for toucans in the trees.

Cerro Lobo feels like you're in a treehouse up in the canopy of a secluded, tropical forest. It's a tranquil, quiet place with all the modern comforts. A fantastic base to explore the coasts to the north and south. Wi-Fi worked great for remote working. Great breakfasts, dinners, views, and service. The small, infinity pool was a refreshing treat to plunge into after a day of walks and beach. We'd gladly return.

bugs in the bathroom but we realized on the last day that we were provided with raid/bug killer strips so probably our fault. our food orders were often mixed up or missing something but the staff was always very accommodating and understanding and sometimes we liked the mixed up food better than what we ordered

The place is awesome. The loft that we were using was very big and clean. It has a terrace with a spectacular view of the forest and the ocean. The personal was really helpful and the service was outstanding.

Cerro Lobo needs a renovation of some parts of its furniture in the rooms. The food is not varied if you decide to stay in the facilities.

The place is located in a beautiful area. Also close to Olón, which is a very attractive beach.

Extremely disapointting experience. Feeling almost scammed. We were on our honeymoon so we wanted to have ”the honeymoon package” which included champagne, rose pedals and candels in the room. Our flight was a bit earlier in Ecuador and we informed the hotel that we will be arriving a bit earlier. They never checked those messages so when we arrived, there was non of this in the room. We bought a bottle of champange (40$) and it was not even champagne but sparkling wine and not very good one. The room is big and views are really great. However it is soooo humid that everything is almost wet including sheets and towels. The room is outdated and really not the same as in the pictures. It smells like mole. On top of this they tried to charge us 150$ more for our stay than it said on booking.com. We told them no and after that they tried to charge 40$ more and ofc we said no. They don’t speak English and the only way we got this resolved was that they called a woman who did speak English (maybe the owner?) and finally we only paid the right price. No apologies. They have a tab so you will pay everything (food and drinks) when you leave. Thank god we were smart and we kept our own memo of what we should pay (217$). When we checked out, they AGAIN tried first to make us pay 285$. I asked to see the break down of what we have ordered and suddenly the price there was 245$ so 40$ less than they first told us. No explanation why she first asked us to pay 285$. Unbelievable and still too much. It turned out that when we ordered wine which was 20$ in the menu, they did not have it and they just brought us wine that was 28-30$. They didnt tell about the more expensive price to us and they did this 3 times. Feels like absolutely scamming attempt! Again: no apologies whats so ever even though this was already the second time they tried to charge us too much.

the location! even though it has a great view, the location is not the best! there’s nothing to look around. basically it’s great to relax for few hours and sleep over a night while going to a better location, but it is a bit overpriced! the pool is very small, you have to reserve it! for the same price you can stay in a better place near to the beach and more private
