we, family of 4, stayed in the cottage house, 3 floors, very well equiped. Lot of space, privacy and room for everyone. The pool is charming and perfect for the hot days. the house location is 2 min walk from the main area in town, bakery around corner, and very easy access to the path to Tortuga Bay. We stayed here twice, first before we went on the cruise in the Galapagos and when we got back. Special mention of Ximena, superb host, friendly and very kind. arranged the taxis for us and provide essential information for us and the family.

The host was wonderful -- she was warm and friendly, gave clear instructions for our arrival, provided detailed information about the town and tours, and even helped us cook the live lobster and brujo we bought! The house was clean and comfortable with ample supplies, and the courtyard with a pool was tastefully decorated. The housekeeping maintained the facilities well. It's located at the edge of town so was quiet, but it's still a short walk to most things in town.

Nothing; the cottages were perfect!

This was our favorite of the trip. The cottages are tucked away quietly away from the main part of town, which made the space relaxing and a respite from our busy activities. With that said, it was still only about a 10-15 minute walk to the pier, so it was easy to get around. There is a great pool and the cottages are large, with comfortable living and sleeping rooms. The kitchen is stocked with staples, and the space is beautifully decorated and designed. There are only four cottages in the compound, so it is also very private. Everything was excellent; but, the most important aspect was our host, Ximena. She was gracious, friendly, personable, and extremely helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and extend our heartfelt thanks to Ximena for making our stay in the Galapagos so meaningful. We would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful cottages, the wood work inside is incredible. The host stocked our kitchen and left us some extra treats since we were on our honeymoon which was a really thoughtful touch. They even did our laundry while we were out for the day. Quiet and safe location, highly recommend!

City is small, from here we all around went by foot. Owner is so nice and kind. When we came, our fringe was full with products for breakfast. It was so nice. From apartments until port is only 5-7 minutes by foot.

Our group's exclusive stay at Galapagos Cottages was nothing short of spectacular. Having almost the entire property to ourselves with our family and friends felt like a dream come true. From the moment we arrived at Balta airport, to check in, our host's warm welcome made us feel instantly at home and most importantly safe and worry free in our travels . We arrived to our building to a stocked refrigerator with essentials as well as fresh fruit at the table. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Pool and common area were fantastic. The local insights were invaluable, guiding us to the best restaurants and tour operators. Everything we needed was within easy reach, making our experience even more enjoyable. Ximena's constant attention and care ensured our stay was truly exceptional. Conveniently located to everything, we can't recommend this property or Ximena highly enough for anyone visiting the Galapagos!

This was an incredible property located minutes from the harbor and town center, Tortuga Bay, Charles Darwin Center, restaurants everything walkable. The host Ximena was so friendly and extremely helpful. Highly recommend this location.

BEDROOM SET UP : There was no door / sound privacy for the two floors. Our kids were on the first floor (with a TV), we were on the second floor and you could hear everything so if they woke up early and wanted to watch a movie we could hear it. If we were talking late at night, they could hear us. Just be aware there is no door or sound proofing.

Things we loved: - LOCATION: slightly removed from the center of the town and right next to the entrance of the path to Tortuga Bay. This means it was a little quieter, yet it was still only an 8-10 minute walk (just a few blocks) to the main water front (where most tours meet). Close to restaurants, markets and easy - HAVING A KITCHEN: Ximena stocked us with a nice set up and we went to market & panaderia so we could make our own breakfasts for those early morning tours or our own meals when we didn't want to go out. - UPSTAIRS / PRIMARY BEDROOM: Had it's own bathroom, a desk area to do work, balcony with two seats, a small table and hammock. Perfect for relaxing morning coffee. Balcony overlooks the pool. Good amount of place to unpack your clothes. - TEMPERATURE CONTROL: AC, fans and / or windows - We could keep a comfortable temperature in both upstairs and downstairs. Windows had screens, good AC option and upstairs had a fan. - POOL & ENTIRE SET UP AROUND THE POOL: Was so fun to have a pool for the kids and there were nice tables and lounge chairs. The pool area also had a place to refill water bottle and a map of the town with important places (restaurants / travel agencies) - TWO FULL BATHROOMS: We didn't have to share with kids and there was hot water!

Large, Comfortable cottages. Great pool and courtyard area! We enjoyed the location only a few minutes walk from the main streets and restaurants. Ximena was extremely helpful, kind, and with great communication!
