Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe stayed for 4 nights. The room was basic and the bathroom very small. However there was a problem with the a/c which meant we got moved to a much bigger rear room with a balcony and excellent view over the bay. I know this room was twice the price but well worth it if you can afford it. The staff especially Rafaela (hoped I spelled that right) was so lovely and helpful. Location wise, it is far enough away from the centre of town to be nice and peaceful, and we didn’t mind the 5/10 minute walk in. The pool was a welcome relief as well

SpainNothing, everything was perfect!
The fact that the hotel is very close to the Charles Darwin research station, the main street, only 10-minute walk to reach the best restaurants, bars and galleries, has been a very important point for us when deciding on this hotel. In addition, the host Carlos has always been very friendly (we received a room upgrade upon arrival), the rooms are very bright, a beautiful view, with windows from ceiling to floor, the entire wall, with a huge balcony to see a forest and then the sea, a luxury! And not to mention the huge terrace on the top floor 360 degree amazon views. The room was absolutely clean, fresh towels every day, hot water in large volume, the pool deliciously refreshing after excursion days. In the common area we always found hot water, cold water, a variety of teas and coffee, board games, interesting books, mosquito repellent, towels for the pool and beach! Although breakfast may seem simple, we always had toasted bread, ham, cheese, jam, margarine, eggs to taste, cereals, yogurt, as much coffee and tea as we wanted, and a fresh juice made of real fruits! We are very happy to have found this hotel, our next visit we will surely go there again

CanadaThe only drawbacks were the distance from the downtown area (which is only a $1.50 taxi ride if you do not fancy a walk in the heat) and the bathroom, which could use an aesthetic upgrade. As a solo traveller, I was also uncomfortable with the idea of leaving my room and safe key at the front desk every time I left the hotel (required). However, I felt very safe during my stay after that initial discomfort. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here!
While La Casa de Judy is considered far from downtown Puerto Ayora (about a 15-min walk), it's a lovely place sheltered from the noise and bustle of the bars and restaurants. Excellent for travellers who've booked day tours, which typically start very early in the morning—the nighttime quiet is important! My stay started off with meeting Raphael at the front desk, who was helpful and so sweet. I cannot speak Spanish at all, so I appreciated her friendliness and patience in communicating with me. I looked forward to the breakfast each day (freshly cooked egg, buns, butter and guava jam, some ham and cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruit, tea), and was grateful for the option of an earlier breakfast before I departed each day for my diving tours. The beds were comfortable, the decor tasteful, and the AC was a godsend. In the lobby, there is ample seating for lounging around or writing/working on the computer. WiFi was speedy (only available in the lobby), but it did go out for a few hours one day, which is a rare occurrence I believe. There is a water cooler and tea station available 24/7, with a nice selection of teas, plus hot chocolate. Most helpful was the fridge, where you're welcome to store your own drinks and food in (recommend labelling it just in case).

United KingdomThis isn't the hotels fault but other guests leaving early in the mornings, particularly with kids, showed no regard for other sleeping guests, yelling at each other across the property. The WiFi is weak but as it is most places in Santa Cruz, buy a local SIM card but even then you'll find in this area of the island the signal is weak, but it is stronger closer to the main pier and 'downtown'
I had a lovely stay at La Casa de Judy for four nights. The staff were friendly and helpful and it's a family run affair. The room was spacious and clean and the shower hot with good pressure. I enjoyed the view of the sea from my balcony.

GermanyThe hotel is a small hotel in walking distance to all important locations in the town. It is clean and safe and far above the usual standards of the Galápagos. Breakfast was simple but of high quality. The best is the very motivated and friendly staff, especially Carlos, who always has a smile and some helpful advise and great hints what to do with the days and evenings! Thank you!

Carlos - the owner. He’s a considerate and caring host. We asked about a good place for ceviche. He said he was in the mood too and went to the harbor, bought fish and shrimp and made it. It was delicious and so fresh.
