It's the perfect hostel, we loved to stay here. Friendly owner, well equiped kitchen, free trinking water, clean bathroom, big room, air con, comfortable beds, cheap tours, good recommendations, close to shops and local restaurants.

Room only seemed a bit basic (nothing fancy)

Great staff who explained everything that you can do in Santa Cruz in great english. More in the local area of Ayora so its quiter and cheaper eats around, with being like 15 min walk to the port. The restaurant next to it even had a simple full course dinner for 5$ (but it wasnt marked on google maps)

Super big and spotless clean kitchen. The bed was SO big and comfortable. AC worked well. For me great value for money Staff is very friendly.

We stayed in 3 different hotels during our vacation in the Galapagos and Silvia's hotel was the best by far. It was clean, the room was spacious, the kitchen very well equiped, everything was really well organized and Silvia's welcoming was great. She gave us a lot of tips on what to visit and helped us book the tours. I don't usually write reviews but Silvia and the lady who works at the hotel are so kind and helpfull that I wanted to thank them again via this comment.

Wifi is not good enough. The location is outside the centre (a 10-minute walk to the port).

Incredibly friendly family owned hostal! Our room was big and cozy, with great air conditioning and a hot shower. The couple who run the hostel were so kind and gave us heaps of information to help make the most of our time on the island. The hostal is a 15 minute walk from town, but we didn’t mind this as it meant for quiet nights. Would definitely recommend, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! Filtered drinking water available too!

No natural light in the room, and the tours offered by the staff in the hotel are more expensive then if you arrange yourself in town.

It's a bit further to walk to the port and main road but doable.

Staff were extremely helpful and planned out our week in the Galapagos, and with tour prices (appeared as if no commission). Helpful with questions on WhatsApp too. Large rooms, hot water, air con, clean kitchen.

It's about a 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal and waterfront (with a lot of restaurants). But it's a nice easy walk and there are also inexpensive taxis.

This hostal is fantastic! Very comfortable beds, large rooms, clean bathrooms with hot showers. Our bed was made and room cleaned daily which was a lovely surprise. We loved the swan towels on arrival too. Silvia at the front desk was lovely, gave us all the information we needed about things to do around Santa Cruz island, and she booked taxis, ferries and tours for us. We used the kitchen one night for dinner which was great, everything was clean and worked perfectly. There's also filtered water available to fill up water bottles. We did some multi-day trips to Isabella and San Cristóbal, but we always came back to La Mirada when we were on Santa Cruz!

Silvia is absolutely wonderful, you can tell she cares a lot about her guests and making sure they have a great time. The room was spacious and clean, they even made it up every day! The AC and wifi were great. The shower is hot. The kitchen facilities are great. The drinking water is a fab addition. It’s a 10 min walk to the centre. Great value for money.

We changed to this hostel after having a horrible night at another hostel. And we could not be happier with that decision. We had a very big bright room with a big and very comfortable bed. The shower was big and hot. It was super clean. The kitchen was well equipped, and the staff + owner were super nice. Leaving the bags on the day we left was no problem at all. It is 10-15min max to the puerto for the ferry. Best stay in santa cruz for sure.

Empty pool but we knew that before coming :)

Such a great stay. The kitchen is spotless and well equipped, the fridge is big and has a designated shelf for each room. More importantly, the host Silvia (and her family) went above and beyond to ensure we got the most out of our trip on the islands. We stayed for 3 full days and booked day trips which can get tricky but Silvia was great and helped immensely with booking tours (for a better price!). All in all, would highly recommend.

Nothing. It's just a 15 min walk to the harbour, but you know this when you book. We actually liked being a bit further from the busy 'centre', it was very quiet.

De rooms are very spacious, everything is very clean, the kitchen is big and very well-equipped. Hot shower, enormous bed! We really enjoyed our stay here.

Very nice hotel. Kitchen with fridge is a big plus, you can rent snorkel gear and buy some beers. It's a bit far from the center but a taxi is a dollar per person. Definitely recommend.

Lovely room with large bed and private bathroom. The accommodation had use of a really well equipped kitchen and dining area. It is in a quiet location but close enough to shops and restaurants as well as easy access to boat trips. The staff were really helpful to ensure we had a good trip.
