    - The walls are not great for external noise (and I was very unfortunate to have one guest in the room next to me arrive one night at 4:30 am and starting a phone call. But this is not the fault of the hotel) - The hotel is slightly outside the city center. Given how small Tartu is, however, you can still easily walk it in 15/20 minutes

    - Very friendly and helpful staff (due to hick-ups with my flight I didn't arrive until 2am, they were still ready and waiting for me) - Beautiful rooms and breakfast terrace - Good breakfast buffet - Good shower

During our stay, the weather was warm so our room heated up a lot. No airco. The only way to cool down was opening a window so beware of the mosquitoes.

Excellent breakfast, clean restaurant. Privat parking for free. This hotel is located outside the city centre so it's not hard to reach. Walking towards the city centre takes +/- 15 minutes. Never felt unsafe.

Stuffed animals aren't really our thing, but they have made a real attempt to create atmosphere, which will resonate with many guests...

Very friendly staff, for the most part. A lot of character, and germanesque knick-knacks in abundance

The gentleman in the restaurant was not very friendly.

Hansa hotel is a lovely hotel. We have stayed there on a couple of occasions. The breakfast is ok. The hotel offers value for money, comfortable clean rooms and is tastefully decorated. The staff are excellent and visitors are welcomed. We will definitely stay at the Hansa again when we return.

    The smell of the towels

The hotel had a country style and an unusual decoration. There was a nice patio with a fountain. The location was close to the city center. The room was very big and clean with a nice bathroom. The breakfast was good and tasty as well as the dinner at the restaurant. There was free and safe parking for our motorcycle. The reception girls are very kind, friendly and helpful.

See my point about the view but just take a walk along the river or to the old town.

Efficient reception, the room was large enough and the shower hot and powerful. The view from the window wasn't the best (over the hotel/restaurant courtyard) but it's a city hotel. The restaurant - menu choice was very good, staff helpful and friendly and the evening meal and breakfast were great, the interior is very rustic and welcoming. I'd like to stay at the Hansa when they have a music event.

We were unlucky with the room. Booked a double room, but got 2 twin beds pushed together with heads at window (head in hot battery, wind blowing on shoulders from window). Opposite house had lights on in their room which where shining right into our window until 5AM in the morning. Of course - thick curtains are there to solve this but we are just not used to sleep with a toddler between in totally dark room with curtains closed. Overall the room gave us heavy feeling, my son was also sneezing quite often, perhaps of the carpet which didn't look fresh.

The beds were comfortable, very good location if the visit aim is AHHAA centre & Aura aquapark. The breakfast was good but nothing special.

The view from rooms wasnt very pleasant - towards the main street, have to keep the curtains closed all the time, because every passer by can look in. A bit cold floor (slippers could have been fine)

Liked that rooms are organized around a central courtyard (where fun events are happening in the summer probably) and entrances are from outside. Interior has very nice "old" details and cozy historical atmosphere. Delicious food as well.

HansaTaal menu and meals - very tasty. Only minus of the hotel - poor wi-fi connection :) Excellent location - AHHAA and AURA - few minutes walking distance away. Different kind of stores and cafes, restaurants very close too. And just a bit further is already the old town.

WiFi is fine, but not all over this big and comfortable room, only closer to the entrance, this is just a minor minus, depends on the people's need in it

The style of the hotel is the mix of ethnic and country style with some interesting elements and pieces of ancient inventories, our room was on the ground floor so we enjoyed direct view of the nice patio and the fountain, we had also a little terrace at the entrance to spend a nice evening outside rather privately, meals at the restaurant were alright, prices also reasonable, everything is neat and comfortable,

Breakfast has somewhat limited selection of dishes, with quality below average. Food in hotel restaurant, being an excellent selection for beer-loving tourists striving to try out Hansean traditional dishes, is not well suited for children or vegan. Still, there is a possibility to use rooms kitchenette or go out for dinner.

Hotel has spacious rooms equipped with kitchenette and convertible couch in addition to king-sized bed, which is an excellent set of facilities when travelling with young children. Room has a small terrace with table and foldable chairs overlooking hotels inner courtyard, a good place to have a breakfast and chill-out in the summer evening.
