Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWe knew that our room did not have private bathroom but we did not realized that it was outside, across a large yard. And we did not plan to have such rainy days... Nothing to complain, we knew it at the time of booking and the toilet and shower rooms were clean. But still, such a rainy, chilly night... you have to like it (or accept it). I did not like it, but keep this in memory as a funny experience.
We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner in a nicely decorated cosy room. The entire premises are beautiful. The log-house wooden sauna is must to do! Private and relaxing! The garden must be also very nice to spend time (we had bad weather, so we could not take advantage of that).

JapanIt’s a thoughtfully crafted and maintained rustic estate, which perfectly matches the historic and cultural aesthetic of the island. The place has a cozy, homey vibe with plenty of space to relax. It’s both charming and comfortable. The surrounding area is picturesque and makes you feel like you’re in an ancient village surrounded by beautiful nature. The host family are super friendly and welcoming. Plus, their dog is adorable! When the power went out during a storm, they lit plenty of candles and even ran a generator so the guests could charge their devices.

CyprusA beautiful place, great location and fantastic host family. The rooms and garden are welcoming, clean and beautiful. Owners are very helpful and lovely people. Breakfast is delicious and fresh, everyone can find something (including vegan and gluten free). Bed was big and comfortable. It is easy to travel around Muhu from the location and a fast trip to go to Saaremaa.

EstoniaVery authentic and magical place in the middle of beautiful nature. It’s small and quiet, just the right place for fulfilling your soul. Breakfast is really tasty and hosts are very nice and friendly people. You can also rent a bike and explore the island. And ofcourse the highlight was definitely their sheep - could watch them all day :)

United States of AmericaThis is not a criticism, but something to be aware of. The bedrooms do not have en-suite bathrooms. The shower and a couple of shared toilets are located in the main building, and there’s a composting outhouse at the end of one of the bedroom buildings. This required a short walk across the yard for night-time needs, but this wasn’t a problem because it never got completely dark when we visited.
This is a beautiful traditional farm in a peaceful location—the perfect place to disconnect from urban life for a spell. The gracious hosts and their small menagerie of four-legged assistants made it a memorable experience. Meals are served in the spacious main house, where the modern shared bathrooms are also located. Sleeping accommodations are in several former storage buildings that surround a large yard with hammocks and picnic tables. Maarika and Kent provide an ample breakfast buffet, and one evening we had a delicious supper of potato salad and home-smoked salmon. The weather was warm, so we didn’t take advantage of the saunas, but we did enjoy walks on the quiet country roads and to the nearby beach.

EstoniaThe most beautiful place I’ve stayed at! I originally booked my accommodation for two nights but ended up staying for four (and would have loved to stay even longer if work let me). I arrived without a plan, other than to just spend time in nature and get away from the business of city-life and the hosts kindly offered suggestions as to what to see and do. Maarika and Kent are the sweetest hosts. Their hospitality is out of this world. They treated their guests like family. You can tell that they genuinely care for the wellbeing of everyone staying there. The location is idyllic. The rooms are adorable and have everything you need. Outside you can spend time in the hammocks or lounge chairs, feed the sheep, go to the sauna or take one of the bikes they offer around the island. The night sky there is also amazing! Highly recommend stargazing! Great for animal lovers as they have an adorable and very friendly dog and two cats. Delicious homemade breakfast is served in the gorgeous main hall. I would recommend staying until Sunday for Kent’s amazing pancakes! Can’t wait to visit them again on the beautiful Muhu island!

United KingdomPlease remember that this is an area with some mosquitos and make sure that the net curtains are fully drawn in the evening to keep flying teeth away :) (no, we didn't quite do this on the first night - our fault!)
The owners were lovely, welcoming and friendly. We were introduced to a very friendly dog, two equally friendly cats and the pet sheep on arrival. Accommodation is very picturesque with lots of lovely thoughtful details. Breakfast was wonderful.

EstoniaEverything was exceptional! The new owners Maarika and Kent (from 2021) of this lovely cottage are so sweet, attentive, welcoming and easy to talk to. It felt like we are there just visiting our friends, that is how welcomed we felt. About the place itself, there are several clean and nice shared bathrooms and we never missed having one in our room. I mean, it is a cottage afterall not hotel so it was not an issue at all and we knew it beforehand. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and totally enough in terms of variety to start your day with a full belly and a good mood. Outdoor area was very lovely and there was enough space for everyone to find their nook to hang out and relax. It was a nice surprise that there were bicycles free of charge. We took a sunset stroll around the area and it was magical! Also, the owners are doing cooperation with one sommelier and we had our best Cava experience thanks to their good taste. And not to mention the animals...I mean if you are an animal-lover like we are then you will have great time there- guaranteed! A dog, 2 rescue cats, lambs...ahhh, can't wait to go back and share some cuddles! (Fiy, the pets are not allowed into the rooms, so no worries if you are allergic) I feel like I could go on and on how memorable our mini-vacation was but I feel that everyone should just go there and get their own experience ❤️ I will look forward to going back and until then I will revisit my sweet memories of it. Suur-suur aitäh armas pererahvas!

EstoniaThe farm was amazing when we travelled there with two kids. Exceptional hosts, great food cooked by family and a nice rustic rooms in old farm rooms. The family dog, 2 cats and 20 sheep were fun friends for our entire family. We had been at the farm a few years ago but the new owners who took it over last June have done an amazing job and super friendly.
