The bathroom is old and worn out. No central air conditioner, only local fan and room can get very hot in the summer.

a quiet property in a quiet region, in a student town of Tartu, a helpful staff. a lovely old building, it is a positive impress, if you respect cultural heritages. exploitation and cultural protection of property should work together. excellent wifi, breakfast is good. walking distance: from the property when reached Riia str approx 2-3 min, no problems with orientation: you can see Kaubamaja (shopping center) and Vanemuine Theatre, Main Town square and Touristic information office approx 10 min, University of Tartu Main building approx 15 min (all depends on personal walking effort).

The card system giving access to the main door for my accommodation was not good. Walking out the building to get into another part of the building for breakfast or coffee was a little inconvenient.

Room was quiet and warm, breakfast was versatile, even it could have been more varied in different days. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was easy to walk to the center and f.ex. enjoy new year fireworks:).

We rarely put negative reviews, but this time it is worth it for the improvement of this beautiful place. Parking was full and it wasn’t clear if parking on the side of the road was free (wasn’t clear answer from reception). Cleanliness was poor, dust on windows and other furniture in the room and dirty walls in the toilet and bedroom. Sticky stains in the alcohol minibar under glasses were not appreciated as well. Breakfast was a bit annoying when it was necessary to call staff for refilling beans or water tray every moment you wanted to get a hot coffee, especially when you didn’t plan to waste time on it. Keys or locks to the room were malfunctioning from time to time so had to ask help from reception.

Interior, big bed, big room #1 Margaretha and it’s design.

very good and stylish decoration. Awesome breakfast: 1st day - you can choose from menu as much you can eat, no limitations and you seating on first floor 2nd day - self service with wide range of food and you seating on ground floor. Hotel change breakfast location to exclude routine. Personal very nice and helpful.

Breakfast: is better to have a good american coffee in a thermos bottle than have an horrible one from a coffee machine. There was no hot milk; no white yogurt...it was just ok. Could get better and could be in the restaurant room - on the basement is too sad... Bathroom could get better with a blindex shower doors.

The bedroom is more spacious than it looks on the photos. Restaurant is good, open until 09:30 PM; bed is good. They offered a crib for our baby. Parking. It was a great option for us to have a two rooms bedroom + restaurant in the hotel, considering we have a toddler.

Somehow the receptionist did a mistake with my corporate credit card transaction in payment terminal, and called me late evening to the room insisting I come downstairs and pay for the room with my debit card as my credit card is not valid. In the morning, I had to call my company to contact bank, only to find out that it was the receptionist who put the wrong date into payment terminal.. Human mistake, still his attitude was quite weird as he totally disagreed to check the information he inserted and basically insisted I have to pay with debit card. Room itself was ok, but could have more amenities or at least water bottle. Also, there is reconstruction work happening, and the sound of that was impossible. Floors were too loud even for the old house like this: one can hear every step around.

The location was good considering the purpose of the trip, otherwise a bit away from centre. Breakfast was nice.

I stayed in April 2017 for 1 night. A nice and homey hotel with excellent service staff. I was in the twin room, it was warm and quiet, the windows opened to the nice courtyard. Room was big enough and well furnished, clean and the furniture was in good condition. The location of the hotel is good. 20 minutes walk from Tartu Coach station. Close to the hotel are different sightseeings. The tasty breakfast was served in the nice room. The big plus – the room was very quiet by night. Almost like in countryside. Nobody was screaming and yelling on the streets, like it is usual for central streets of Tartu. I will book surely this hotel again next time.

This is a friendly wooden castle from the Art Noveau era. It's small, cosy, and is located in an early 20th century small house area. During day time it seems the café and the small restaurant draws people from around Tartu, always a good sign of a good price-quality balance. Highly recommended.

Would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room; tv very small, choice of channels limited

    Good breakfast; stylish interiors

    The room was rather cold.

I liked that it was cosy and small hotel.

    Towels didn't seem very clean

19-th century atmosphere and pleasant staff, also good that rooms are non-smoking areas
