Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo shade from the sun, and bathroom light didn’t work for the duration of our 5 day stay. Some sun shade and parasols on the top terrace would be helpful to shelter from the sun whilst still being able to enjoy the amazing view!
The location of this hotel is incredible, you can’t get any closer to the Pyramids. Delicious breakfast cooked for us. The staff made us feel very welcome and were so kind (& strong!) in carrying our many heavy suitcases up the many steps for us, thank you!

United KingdomOn the first day of the stay, the toilet was broken and needed fixing. The room was very dark and the air conditioning needs to be cleaned inside because it was distributing dirt. The bedding wasn't very clean either. The breakfasts were very simple and monotonous. We also asked for a double bed room and the manager joined two single beds together, which is not what we asked for.
Excellent location, entry to the Giza Plateau Pyramids Complex just five minutes away. Amazing view from the balcony, and even better from the rooftop - perfect for photographers. Lots of shops and a good restaurant opposite the street. Easy access to Ubers or taxis. Very helpful manager and friendly staff.

PortugalDepending on the day, some language barrier with the staff, but google translate is a life saver. Althou very close to the pyramids, its at least a 30min drive from everything else in Cairo, so might not be the best option for an extended stay.
Amazing view of the Pyramids and the sunset. You have a wonderfull balcony where you can enjoy breakfast and other meals at reasonable prices. Construction in Cairo and Giza is not the best, but the Hotel was above average. Very nice bathroom with excellent water pressure ( sometimes an issue in Egypt), confortable beds, AC, refrigerator, blackout curtains. 2 minute walk to the Pyramids ticket office. Very helpfull and friendly staff.

TurkeyThe location is not a secure place. The entrance of the hotel is confusing. First impression of our family was not good. The staff can’t speak English except hotel manager Mohammed. The credit card machine was broken that’s why we paid in cash.
The hotel is very close to pyramids and the view of the terrace was amazing. The room and the breakfast were satisfactory.

JapanIt seems hotels are more or so similar in this area, but room qualities are quite diverse. I would rate the room for the first night 10/10, second night 6/10 since the room was okay but had no view. The terrace & restaurant on the top floor was also the reason I chose to stay. For photography at dusk and sunrise it was just perfect.
When I arrived late at night I found my room was unavailable due to overbooking. Thanks to Mr. Mohammed I was able to check-in another hotel with a newly built suite room for the same price, then the next day I moved to this property without cancelling it. He did all the arrangements in 2am which I am so grateful for. I felt staffs I've met were all accomodating. At both hotels breakfast on the top floor was very good. On New Year's eve the whole town was in a festive mood, the atmosphere was simply amazing.

United KingdomWe went at the end of Ramadan (9th April) and during school hols - my advice - avoid both as lots of kids around and so much noise at night at the Pyramid entrance and plateau with super loud concerts and the call to prayer all night esp for the Eid period after. Also you can't get a Beer anywhere either (except the drinkies stores) at this time, Hotel staff will get for you but charge a relative fortune and take an hour!! One shop in Giza offered me a 500ml Stella can at EGP 485 (£8) each ha ha !! - BTW we didnt know it was Ramadan till after we'd booked - best check
breakfast was fine and varied, location was great. Room was fine and clean enough. This is Giza not the high end side of Cairo. There are Horses and Camels everywhere but this just adds to the authenticity of the place. We had some Crepes and other local foods - they were great except Koshari - the one we had in Giza was really bland (and about 50p). The People are friendly esp at our hotel. Please get the app and use Uber to avoid the chance of being ripped off by cabbies, really cheap and no haggling. Also you can get your VISA on arrival with just your passport and $ 25 - you don't need any other docs , and you get a nice sticker for your trouble & no queue at all - arrived at 320pm ish. Lots of Police in Giza looking after the Tourists. The view btw from the terrace was amazing !! Cairo is great but noisy. Carol Bar is great for a beer & you can smoke if you wish - may not float everyone's boat but we enjoyed it

KenyaThe building is quite old, so dont expect a lift which means carrying your luggages up and down is not easy, but a good exercise definitely! The hotel is 3 years old and the management are constantly improving and upgrading their services.
The property is conveniently located close to the pyramids and sphinx monument, making it a gem of a location. Waking up and sleeping to the Pyramids is a beautiful feeling on its own, much better than staying in downtown Cairo. Comfortable rooms, we tried the panaroma room which is a hotcake in this property and that is the best choice always. We then shifted 1 floor down which is also good, but only 1 room has a window overlooking the smaller pyramid. Rooms are amazing nonetheless, clean and well maintained. The breakfast was always cooked and served fresh by the lovely Ladies of Golden Pyramids Inn. A good arabic and continental breakfast mezze platter with delicious tea or coffee. The location is splendid, the views of the pyramids are to die for and you will not stop taking pictures! The staff and family of Golden Pyramids Inn are respectful, humble and professional. Just ask them for what you want.

United KingdomIt was quite difficult to find even by Egyptians with a sat nav, and the outside of the main hotel was quite scruffy and off putting.
We were given a twin room in their new "branch", the Taj, a couple of doors away. It was a lovely room, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and with a great view of the Pyramids. There were staff acting as security and general help on our floor There is a roof bar with great views. The staff were very helpful and breakfast, brought to our room, was excellent
