We are family of three and had a very big family room, with pyramids and sphinx view ,absolutely amazing!!! Complementary tea and coffee ! Nice ,simple ,fresh Egyptian breakfast . You can have breakfast at the roof terrace .3min walk to the entrance to the Pyramids. Excellent location! We landed at Cairo airport 1.15am ,we took a transfer offered by the hotel which was great.Highly recommended! Would definitely stay again.

The area has limited transport options if you want to get into Cairo. Either you pay extortionate prices for a taxi, or you rapidly learn enough Arabic to catch a public minibus to Moneeb and take the metro from there.

The view from the roof terrace and some of the rooms is incredible. I also really enjoyed the breakfasts, as well as the free tea! The staff were very accommodating of my early check in.

    Nothing in particular.

The location was great. I saw the night show from the top of the building and took a break after seeing the pyramids.

The reviews about the location are true, this is definitely the property you want to book if you’d like to be as close as possible to the pyramids and sphinx, the view is amazing. The gentleman who checked us in was lovely too, I had lost my passport at the time and he helped keep us calm and provided great hospitality.

The hotel is in an old building and the furnishings are a little dated. Breakfast is just ok. WiFi was slow.

The staff were lovely, really helpful and friendly. They made my stay so easy! I only booked this hotel for the view, and it was so worth it. You can see the pyramids and sphinx from the bedrooms (if you're at the front) and you can watch the Light Show from the roof terrace (and hear it very clearly). Hotel is old but clean and comfy enough. My room was huge, felt more like an apartment!

It is a very basic hotel, but clean and quiet.

Location location location. So wonderful on the rooftop watching the pyramids without the crowds, the noise and the hassle. It was even better than the day we actually visited the pyramids!

Had signs saying no drinking which was a bummer and a breakfast was very simple. They told me at first I could order breakfast for the terrace but the day of they just had me carry the breakfast up there myself.

Really great terrace and room had everything you could need. Staff was very helpful and kind

Suggestion: some fruit might be added at breakfast, like bananas.

Guardian Guest House is situated on a great location. In the morning, opening the curtains, we saw the piramids in the early morning sun, and looked straight in the eyes of the Great Sfinx, which was an amazing experience. The entrance to the Gizeh plateau is close, only at 30 meter distance of the entrance of the guesthouse. Mahmoud and his family are very nice. They take care for breakfast, and arrange for transfers from and to the airport, and taxis to places of interest, like Cairo or Saqqara. From the rooftop terrace guests can enjoy the sound and light-show on the Gizeh plateau in the evening, free of charge. Breakfast was served inside (buffet), but you could take up your breakfast to the rooftop terrace and enjoy it outside, looking at the piramides and the Great Sfinx. Every morning we got bottles of water at breakfast, and during the day we could make coffee or tea, free of charge in the little kitchen opposite our room. A great service!!! In the lively environment there are many restaurants and shops. We had a great time in Guardian Guest House, where we stayed during one week, and we highly recommend this hotel. Can be noisy during the night if you are light sleeper (dogs barking, early business starters etc) but nothing to do with the hotel

I would recommend to anyone who would love to stay opposite to the pyramids with easy access to the site as well as good view on the pyramids and sphinx. Nice staff and willing to support with any inquiries. The stay was within our expectation.

The downside of this place is that they do not have a restaurant on the balcony, so you can’t have dinner there.

I stayed here for 2 days. If you prefer to stay near the Sphinx, this should be the place. It offers an incredible view from the balcony, and considering the prominent location, it’s worth the price. Basic room - is clean and spacious. The bathroom equipped with basic amenities. The entrance ticket is just right across the street. They serve a good breakfast, and a tea/coffee/water dispenser is available around the clock. For the sound and light show, i still prefer taking from Guardian Guest House angle, as the lighting from that angle does not cause reflections.

This has NOTHING to do with the hotel! One night there was some sort of music event at the pyramids. The music was LOUD and went until 2am.

Right opposite the sphinx, looking at the pyramids. Brilliant location. You just walk to the pyramids entrance.
