The staff was excellent. The room was filthy. There was some sort of scum and residue in the sink and in the toilet. The carpets and the curtains were dingy. This was my first trip to Cairo and my last. Completely disappointed with how they represent the Hilton name. Somebody from the Hilton head quarters should make a visit.

old furniture, old bathrooms, no technical maintenance, you had to wait for hot water to come, old fashioned, carpet was dirty, one plug next to bedroom was not working, this hotel has nothing to do with the HILTON chain. Expensive tours.

    Breakfast, pool area, huge room.

The rooms needs new Carpets lighting and kitchen facilities need upgrading..Fully understand the tourism industry set back after revolution but it is a fine property in Cairo which can be made very popualar for families for long stay.

Hilton Residence was one of the best place to stay with magnificent views of the Nile but needs urgent renovation as the facilities and the rooms..

There was no free wifi and the paid wifi was also very slow even though i chose the premium package that should have had better speed. The location was good for zamalek.

They upgraded me to a presidential suite and the staff were very helpful and accomodating. My bed was very comfortable and furniture was nice.

Very very old and dirty hotel, looks like a hotel in 80s, doesn't worth the value of paid money, located in back side of local danger area, the entrance from back side area only, small reciptation, the toilet very dirty with lots black spots, the carpet super dirty, no slippers, 4 days only 2 bottles of water, free internet but slow, the air conditioning always on and we couldn't turn in off, even in the summer. Very big suite, free Wi-Fi, big balconies, great security system, The staffs are cheerful as all Egyptians, lagguge storage, extended check out.

    The worst in cairo

The area around the hotel is a building site, like much of Cairo. The apartment could do with a refurb really - getting a bit tired and a bit stuck in 80s but a minor niggle really- no bar or alcohol available in the hotel - need to go to a nearby conrad hotel (a few hundred yards away) for a drink

We were on 30th floor - fab views, staff very friendly, great food - we had the Imperial suite and it was massive with own kitchen, washing machine, vast sitting room - several balconies - very hard to find fault really and the negatives are minor niggles really. Would strongly recommend for a family of 5

Property was very big for one pax accommodation ! The moment I entered the room immediately one word come to my mind was "BHOOT BANGALA " There are three rooms with so much of dust in each and every cup boards The bed spread is having full of dust, I noticed only after getting up in the morning since my black night wear has turned to dotted white ! The tap in the master bed room is very sharp , even now you may check this in room no 161 When I touch the tap it pricks my finger which starts bleeding not much one/two drops ! Tap water from the wash basin start with brown color and after 5 mts normal water flow start ! Since the flat was too big and in night it gives very ghostly look I call one of my friend who is staying in cairo to accompany me for three nights ! For normal hotel/ apartment it is okay but with a tag of HILTON , really it is very much unacceptable and disappointing !!!! My final conclusion is 1) for 4/ 5 star pax it is a miserable property 2) suitable for a family or two person 3) and special request is not to accommodate single person in this apartment

I like the name Hilton that's all

    - Dozens of flies and mosquitoes in all the bathrooms and bedrooms. - Old air conditioner with a crazy noise. - After turning off the Air conditioner at night, I kept hearing AC noise from outside. - Lack of temperature control on the shower (Spent more than 10 mins to have warm water and was disappointed at the end) - I had a miserable feeling when I stepped in the kitchen (not so pleasant view) - Bathrooms are in bad condition.

    - Beautiful Terrace - Cool living and dining areas - Good separate study room with spacious desk
