Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Staff extremely professional. Fathi could organize all our trip to Port Said, with an excellent driver and all the trips around town and to the airport. Mayar in the reception could attend all our demands and could speak perfect italian (and plus it is a beautiful girl!). Location in Tahrir square is fantastic.

CyprusThe hotel is on the 4th floor of an old building. The hotel lacks of procedures. The cleaning is not consistent. One day they clean another they leave even the breakfast tray behind. Once they clean the standard is good. The shower is not separated from the rest of the bathroom. In our bathroom the floor had no inclination so the water could not drain. The water would go all over the bathroom. So you had to walk in paddles! Change the towels not consistent: when asked them they would bring but always making mistakes forgetting the face towels etc. Replenishing of toiletries and water not consistent either. Poor toiletries, only shower gel. Lack of plugs. Either plugging the fridge or the kettle.
Location was perfect if you want to be downtown and near all. Room was nicely decorated. Everything was new. Breakfast was served in the room and it was ok. From the staff Pishoi was the very helpful one with who we could communicate and was always polite and was very service oriented. Transfer from and to the airport ok.

SwitzerlandObviously some noise are expected being facing Tahrir Square. Best bit is to get room in the back and close windows with AC on during the night and sleeping.
Location comes first with many things to do in the neighborhood with lots of coffeeshops, restaurants, and shops around. The rooms were reasonably spacious with good facilities, and the wifi internet was very good.

ItalyThe rooms are very small, there’s no microwaved would be nice to have one. The worst thing was the shower - there’s no cabin, just a shower above your head and that’s it, so basically you just stand on the floor near the toilet and take a shower; the whole bathroom floor quickly gets filled with water. Keep that in mind Maybe other rooms are different and we weren’t too lucky.
The location is superb, the staff were very nice and let us leave our luggage at the reception before our check-in time and after we had already checked out.

ItalyThe bed were quite uncomfortable and the hotel was difficult to find (a bit hidden in a palace). Breakfast was included, but served only in the room with no possibility to express any preference.
The hotel is localised in a very central area, close to the egyptian museum in the main square. The room is large and new. Amazing staff

United KingdomIt was difficult to find the property as a proper entrance board was missing and has only a small banner. Also the shower should have curtain.
The rooms are absolutely amazing and have a big proportionate size along with sofa. They provide you with a bathrobe and a locker.

South AfricaThe bed and pillows were very hard and not very comfortable. The breakfast was not very appetizing. We tried it once but rather went for breakfast at a nearby coffee shop. The shower in the bathroom was not enclosed so the whole bathroom is under water after a shower.
The hotel is well positioned in Cairo, at El-Tahrir Square. There are various restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is also close to the Nile. The room was fairly small but comfortable, with a small balcony. It had a small fridge, which was handy. They were busy with renovations on the outside, so scaffolding blocked the view, and it also prevented us from using the balcony. The staff were pleasant and generally helpful.
