    Staff were pleasant.

Property very dated and in much need of an upgrade. The A/c was so loud in the bedroom, I thought an aeroplane was about to take off. The swimming pool smelled of pigeon pooh! Disgusting! While reception staff were pleasant they didn’t have any information about how to navigate local tourist attractions. Much investment needed in this business before I could recommend.

    Location was good

Room was not cleaned one day. I paid via credit card, but was asked for US dollars, had to sort out problem with my bank and reverse the credit card payment.

Our experience: We stayed for a night at this hotel. With $65 a night for 2 adults and a kid, The hotel is over priced with very basic amenities. The room window couldn't be closed properly and there was dust inside. It's next to the main street and the railway station and hence was noisy. They provided paper cups instead of glass/ceramic for tea/coffee in the room. Not what you expect in a hotel of this price.

The room’s soundproofing was extremely poor, and the windows couldn’t fully block out the noise from outside, making it very loud. The lighting in the room was extremely dim, and the faucet was broken—when turned on, it would spray water all over. The price I booked on Booking was higher when I arrived, and it had nothing to do with taxes. The environment was very old and not very clean. I’ve never stayed in a hotel for 3,200 EGP per night that was in such a terrible condition.

    The location.

The bathroom was dirty, dated and the hot water stopped halfway through the shower. The toilet was dirty. The windows wasn't sound proof so couldn't sleep well. Overall the hotel was very old and needed lots of work it shouldn't be open to guests. Very Over priced.

The view of the Nile from the window

Avoid This Hotel at All Costs This is hands down one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. While the view of the Nile from our room was nice, that’s about the only positive thing I can say. Everything else about this place was an absolute disaster. Noise and Poor Location The hotel is located right in the middle of a noisy local neighborhood, and the windows do nothing to block out the constant sounds of the street. I was kept awake until the early hours of the morning every single night. Don’t expect peace or quiet here—it simply doesn’t exist. Uncomfortable and Dirty Rooms The rooms are mediocre at best, but the beds are horrible. The mattress was lumpy, uncomfortable, and felt like it hadn’t been replaced in years. To make matters worse, the beds creak loudly every time you move, adding to the already unbearable noise in this place. The bathrooms weren’t much better—they were dirty and clearly not cleaned properly between guests. The Worst Breakfast Ever The breakfast was an absolute joke and, frankly, a health hazard. The cook clearly doesn’t know how to prepare food, let alone something as basic as eggs. Every morning, my omelette was served raw. Even after complaining, nothing was done about it. On one occasion, I ordered an extra egg and still had to pay for it, despite showing them that it was also raw. They provide just one egg omelette per guest, and the rest of the plate consists of prepackaged yoghurt and jam (probably costing 10 EGP at most), stale cheese, and cucumbers that looked like they’d been sitting out all night. To top it all off, I ended up with food poisoning from this disgraceful breakfast. It’s no surprise, considering their lack of basic food safety. The so-called “buffet” is just for show—most of the dishes are empty, and the little food that is there is questionable at best. Misleading Amenities The pool? Don’t be fooled by the photos online.

    1. Location of the Hotel is very good. 2. Amazing view of Nile river from hotel balcony. 3. The staff of hotel are very good... Particularly Mr. Peter is really a nice person who has helped us a lot in making our trip succesfull for many sites in Aswan and Luxor. He discussed the matters with me so nicely as if we know each other for many years. I thank Mr. Peter a lot.

In breakfast some food items were restricted to provide twice, although the breakfast was good.

Best location overlooking the river Nile. I had a room with a balcony towards the river with an excellent view. Breakfast was elementary with an omelette or boiled egg with bread and butter.

The rooms are old and have not been refurbished for some time. I had to struggle with the lock every time I retuned to the room. The toilet was old including towels. The cleaning staff however was helpful and did the maximum they could.

It is a good modest hotel. Not fancy. Priced accordingly.

The location of the hotel is good, at the centre of the town.

Firstly they accept only USD that too in Cash. For someone who isn't from the US it is a problem particularly when we reached the hotel in the middle of the night due to a delayed flight and none of the atm machine at the airport was working at that hour. So checking in the hotel was messy as they dont accept card or EGP currency, the irony of it. Secondly we spotted a few stray dogs around the entrance of the hotel, particularly a black dog was emaciated, sick and in skin and bones and when I tried to approach him to feed him he was so scared that he peed himself and looked traumatized, i work with rescue animals and I know what that means. It costs nothing to be kind to animals, I know this has nothing to do with the hotel itself but I am writing this here incase you plan to book this hotel please check in on the dog if possible and let their management know to be kind to those poor dogs.

    It's clean and friendly.

The restaurant wasn't working. Surprisingly, a sign at the reception said "no foods or drinks from outside are allowed". I had to smuggle some food.

Nile view which was as described

Repeated power cuts and cuts to the water supply, half the lights in the room didn't have bulbs that worked. It was a lack of maintenance not staff as there were plenty of staff idle in reception for the 10 guests in the hotel. Perhaps use the summer months to check the inventory for each room. Power cuts where they are not just isolated to the hotel I can accept but some were the fault of the hotel itself

    Nothing.

One triple room, with breakfast, 100USD. They accept only cash payment, in USD. After contacting the manager, they said they can make an exception for us and we can pay in their national currency - EGP The place is really old, dirty, toilet not working, internet not working (when we asked reception they said is not working), air conditioning very noisy and ineficient, breakfast really simbolic. Very expensive. We thought that what can be so bad for just one night. We were wrong. It was really bad. The staff did what they can but they seemed to be emabarased of what they can offer. Avoid at all cost. You have been worned.

Staff are nice. Location is almost next to the train station so handy.

Not really clean, in all the common areas and sunbeds stained dirty, no but beds and room was clean, no air conditioning was on in the breakfast, hotel almost empty so maybe no point to put it on as we only ones in breakfast. it needs some renovation. It is expensive for what it is compared to other hotels. I have stayed in lots of hotels in aswan, including Marhaba a few times, but in the last 4 years it has really deteriorated unfortunately.
