Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaBreakfast!
This hotel is as good as it looks on the photos but you may not think that when you arrive! The surrounding area is a busy dirty street - the entrance looks terrible as it’s in what looks like a derelict shabby building with a dodgy small lift - but when you come out on the eighth floor to the hotel it is completely different! It’s a small boutique style, family run, clean fresh and modern hotel! It can be a little noisy but it’s downtown and Cairo never sleeps so it’s probably the same on most city hotels. Earplugs are provided in your room but we didn’t really need them. The room was spacious - very clean and modern. The shower is great. The hotel is an easy 5 min walk to the Egyptian museum. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful - including letting us leave our luggage there for a couple of nights when went on desert tour. The only negative was breakfast - it wasn’t very good!

United StatesThe bathroom in my room was quite luxurious, but I think the drain needed cleaning out. It smelled a bit. Other than that it was very good and comfortable.
The breakfast was great. Very filling and delicious. They were accomodating about serving us earlier than usual when we had an early start for a tour. The staff were delightful: so friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe hotel has a very good location, making it convenient to get around. The rooms are all newly renovated, which gives the place a fresh and modern feel — the renovation has been done really well. I especially want to mention Amr, who provided absolutely outstanding service throughout my stay. He was attentive, professional, and made sure that everything was perfect. Thanks again to him and to the other staff members as well for their kindness and support. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would be happy to come back.

United StatesIt is very noisy frim the constant honking cars. Also I didnt like that I couldnt just unlock the door ftom inside without the key.
Very clean and did not have that terrible overwhelming cigarette smell that most of Cairo serms to enjoy. The kids at reception desk are wonderful and helpful. A good respite.

United KingdomBeing in the heart of the city means there is quite a bit of street noise but there were ear plugs provided!
The rooms were very spacious and well equipped, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful. Breakfast was a highlight. We arranged a city tour through the hotel at short notice, the reception staff were efficient and organised us a fantastic tour guide and driver.

MadagascarFor breakfast, it might be a good idea to ask people what they want to eat instead of giving things they won't even eat.
In the center of the city. Very practical. Some people say it is noisy, but we did not have that problem at all.

New ZealandWe stayed at the Museum and Nile View Hotel in Cairo and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel was clean, well-lit, and located in a great area with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast was included in our stay, which was a nice bonus. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive throughout our time there. The building also had security, which made us feel safe. That said, it’s worth noting that the hotel is in a busy part of the city, so there was quite a bit of noise—particularly honking—at all hours. We were able to sleep through it, but it was constant. This may be something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper. The elevator was old and a bit shaky, but that’s more about the shared building than the hotel itself. Just something to be aware of. Also, there were no English-language TV channels available, and we weren’t able to use our Firestick, so don’t expect to stream or watch anything unless you have your own workaround. All in all, a good stay for the price—clean, safe, and in a great location with welcoming staff.

AustraliaThe entrance to the hotel looks like something out of a horror movie, which is somewhat off putting on first entering, and the mattresses are hard as a rock.

Hong KongMy room is just facing the main traffic road. I noticed that there are some earplugs offered for free in the nightstand (very nice and detailed service, I have to say). If you have good sleep quality like me, it cannot be a huge issue. However, for people who sleep very lightly, they need to require an inner room to avoid the traffic noise, which is even noticeable at night.
The breakfast is not a buffet, but the quality is pretty good. You can ask for coffee or tea, and the breakfast plate provides both Western-style eggs and Egyptian local foods. Very tasty. The location is super suitable for a) visiting the Egyptian Museum; b) a quick taxi ride to Coptic Cairo; c)a downtown city walk. The hotel staff helped me to arrange a wonderful full-day tour to Saqqara and an early morning taxi to the Cairo Airport. The service is of good quality and with a fair price (of course, for foreign tourists, not for local prices).

PortugalWhen we arrived it was a bit of a shock the building looks dodge at 4am 😝 The hotel is actually on the 8 th floor. We had to wait 15 minutes for the transfer guy outside the terminal which was a not great, with the touts hassling us all claiming to be our driver, our airalo e sim saved us as the hotel sent his pic, to be fair we were out quickly must be a record 16 minutes from when we landed no checked bags and no immigration Q’s.
The staff are excellent, the location is close to Tahir square so very central, we had a lovely room but the noise may be a problem for some, the breakfast was good
